Goldfrapp‘s Will Gregory has confirmed that they duo are back in the studio to record a new album. “We have tried sitting down and writing lists and having coffee to talk about it, but usually we just mess about, it’s good not to be too conscious about what you do,” he said. This comes in as both good and bad news. Good because they need return to form, bad because we don’t have much faith in the after the two past album tanked. The last one was just horrendous.

But, the real scale for its quality is to see if it had succeeded in the UK, because the UK’s brand of soul appreciation is, quite frankly, the best. Tina Moore had one hit that murmured around the charts in the UK. “Never Gonna Let You Go” is a minor hit but it was heavily remixed but the likes of Artful Dodger and has managed to visit the dance charts many times, including this week!

It seems like Gloria Estefan is ready to hit the mainstream again. She is rumored to be landing some appearances on X-Factor and now we hear that she is working with Pharrell on a new album. This is exciting because we love us some Gloria but we have grown distant from her because her past couple of albums didn’t work out so well with us. Let’s hope it comes out soon!
