4Exclusive: 5 Questions With Loft965.com: Lenka
11. Greetings from Kuwait! Loft965.com picked your song “End Of The World” as a “Sexy Track” of 2011. How do you feel about that and what’s the inspiration behind the song?
Awesome thanks! That song is a romantic fantasy, but also expresses my fears about “armageddon” and the world changing and falling apart… I thought if i put it into a song, maybe it’ll all be alright!
2. We love “Heart Skips A Beat.” What will be your next single?
Not sure yet, maybe “Two?” Each territory might choose a different 2nd single!
3. Your first solo single “The Show” was featured heavily from everything to shampoo ads to TV shows to the soundtrack of the movie Easy A. How do you feel about that and were you expecting this kind of reception when you put the song out?
I wasn’t expecting it, but i definitely welcomed it! Especially the film placements. I get really excited when my songs are used creatively, and i’m very grateful for the new listeners it creates…
4. Your new album, the aptly-titled Two, is already out. How would you describe it and who were you influences during the recording process?
There aren’t really any direct influences, only that i wanted to make an upbeat, danceable LOVE record that is pop, but not too pop. I worked with Guy Sigsworth, who was a long-time Bjork collaborator, and I think her early albums have always been a strong influence for me. I love that spirited, celebratory energy.
5. We love quotes, what is your favorite quote or motto?
“Every dark cloud has a silver lining.”

4It picked up, didn’t it?
RuPaul’s album “Glamazon” has been released ahead of time!
1Checking up on RuPaul today proved fruitful! Today is the day that the third season of her reality series RuPaul’s Drag Race airs its finales. The album is set to drop around the same time because RuPaul usually films her newest video on that episode. It looks like the slower “Superstar” is getting the video treatment this time, although we prefer the title track. At any rate, the album is now on iTunes, which comes as a surprise as many blogs are reporting that it had a May 3rd release date. iTunes could have done that by mistake as they allegedly have done with other independent artists like Ani DiFranco. Well, it’s downloading now and the review is pending!

1Lady Gaga to perform “Judas” on the Ellen Degeneres show!
2
Everyone knows that Lady Gaga debuted her first live performance of “Born This Way” on the Grammies, but it seems that Ellen Degeneres is getting the better track’s live performance. The Gaga is supposed to debut her new single “Judas” on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Who else is waiting for more leaks from the album Born This Way?
Legendary: “Searching” by China Black
1This is a monumental song from an ill-fated band. Back in the day, easy Reggae had a huge market and everything it hit is and gave us goose bumps. We are surprised this still didn’t get covered!

1Introducing… Stella Mwangi
1Songwriter, rapper and singer Stella Mwangi (24) who moved from Nairobi to Norway at age of five, realized early that music was her passion in life. Already at the age of eight she began to perform and make music. Hip hop has always been close to her heart, and she has been supporting artists such as Talib Kweli, Busta Rhymes, Flo-Rida, Rick Ross and Angelique Kidjo at their gigs in Norway.
Oh Land performs “White Nights” live!
Our favorite track this week is making the tour rounds. Apparently, as Oh Land herself said, it’s “a song about the city.”
Official cover art of Nikka Costa’s album “PRO★WHOA”
She’s back! And with pop vengence. PRO★WHOA! is the eighth album by the the forever sexy Nikka Costa. “The album is noteworthy for its music direction change, from the funk andsoul of its immediate predecessor toward a more pop-oriented aesthetic. Unlike her previous independently released album Pebble to a Pearl, PRO★WHOA! will be distributed by Virgin Records.” The album is set for a German release, but no news on when. Boo!
