New British sensation Daley has taken his trademark post-neosoul sound and applied it to one of the kitschiest pop songs of all time, Madonna’s “Like A Virgin.” Click below to listen to his version.
What a great excuse to put an old Lady Gaga photo on since we are sick of that one photo shoot she had for Born This Way. Well, you guessed it, the minute “The Edge Of Glory” went live on iTunes it was ripped and re-appropriated everywhere. The third single for the yet-unreleased album is out and it’s up to you to digest it how you want it. Click here to be forwarded to another blog that has radio-ripped the song.
What are your favorites of the week?
Kate Nash has been on a whirlwind of a tour this year taking her to many continents to promote her second album My Best Friend Is You. This consequently lead to many great moments on the road, which will culminate into a DVD of sorts. More news to come.
News just in. Allegedly, Christina Aguilera got into a tussle in recent filming of her reality show The Voice. Not sure yet on what happened, if it was a beat down or a heckle, but some blogs are saying that she had to call security. We are not surprised that someone attacked her because she has been a rude little diva as of late. It would be nice if a nice little harmless slap was or pulling of hair was pulled, and we hope SiA was in the clear!
The Melster (Aka Melanie C, Sporty Spice and the Chisholm) has unleashed a little preview of what she has been working on. The new song is called “Rock Me” and it is allegedly set to be the first single off of her new fifth album, also the first album post-childbirth. Following her award-nominated performances and hugely successful spell in musical theatre, she has returned to the studio to work on her fifth album. While the finishing touches are made, Melanie has recorded an energetic and vibrant track entitled ‘Rock Me’ for one of the summer’s biggest sporting events.
We don’t care how much you love Nicki Minaj, no one put female rap like the one and only Lil Kim. The queen of rap does it perfectly here.
Winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 3, Raja (formerly Raja Gemini), has unleashed an aptly-titled new single that fuses dance and fierceness into one. The cover art might be a little janky, but the song can pack a punch. Click here to download it from iTunes.
And the videos keep coming!

Not as good live, but this is one of the best tracks of the year.
