The dark treatment of the “My Name Is Trouble” is countered with this all-white video for the second single from Keren Ann’s album 101. “Sugar Mama” is one of the stronger tracks on the disc. Although we would have opted for “All The Beautiful Girls,” we are keeping our hopes high for a third single release.

Introducing… The Pierces
2How much can happen in the first minute of a pop song? Sometimes, barely anything; sometimes more than a conscious mind can fully compute. To ears that have yet to hear the music of Allison and Catherine Pierce, the first minute of You & I is a journey in itself. A minor-key strum and faintly ominous keyboards subtly draw in the listener, until a lone voice urges escape. “We could bring a blanket for the grass,” goes the first line. Are you coming or not? Then, at 39 seconds, comes a harmony of such irresistible magnetism that, whatever your previous plans might have been, you’re in for the duration. The song is You’ll Be Mine. A song about a divine seduction turns into the very thing it describes. Welcome to the extraordinary new album by The Pierces.

1Joss Stone takes us behind the scenes of her album “LP1″
2Joss Stone’s new emancipation from label shackles is sounding good to our ears. Here you can listen to live and acoustic snippets from the tracks on the album LP1.
First Listen: “Head First” by Nikka Costa
1
Nikka Costa is one of the artists that has never gotten what she deserved. Her blend of soul and pop is incomparable and she is one of the only voices out there giving soul props in this day and age. At any rate, we weren’t too happy with her German-only single “Ching Ching Ching,” but this new song “Head First” is exactly what the doctors ordered. We are glad that this sound still carries on on her album Pro*Whoa!
Bat For Lashes debuts new song!
1It seems like Bat For Lashes is hard at work on her third album. This song, which has yet to be titled, has debuted live and is likely to be from the next effort.

1Bjork debuts “Crystalline”
1What better way for us to hear Bjork’s new material than in a ride through the Icelandic mountains with the icon herself! It sounds great and fresh. Let’s hope Biophilia is better than Volta!
Track list to Beyonce’s “4″ deluxe edition!

Monica to release new album titled “New Life”
3
Monica is ready to bask in the glory of Still Standing further but releasing another album this year tentatively titled New Life. The Grammy-nominated singer has worked with Missy Elliott and Polow for the new album. She explained: “My family and I are doing some really fun things this summer. My husband and I have been experiencing some really great things. We’ve only been married 6 months. Having someone to share everything with has been so much fun and so refreshing and so uplifting for me. Sometimes, being in the music industry for as long as I have can feel like the weight of the world. It’s lifted so much off me to have someone to genuinely love.”

Bjork announces first single from “Biophilia” titled “Crystalline”
1Hold the press! One of the world’s greatest artists has unleashed some good news. Bjork‘s new album, which is set to come in iPad app form, is ready to blast! Biophilia has gotten a first single and its called “Crystalline,” which means “having the structure and form of a crystal.” Leave it to Bjork our vocabulary not once but twice before her album is released. Apparently, the album will be a meeting of music and nature. That has always been the case with Bjork’s album, but we will swing it as a new concept. This is very exciting news!
Video Premiere: “Not Fade Away” by Florence + The Machine
1Don’t be fooled, this is not the single from the highly anticipated second album which should arrive as soon as possible. It’s a Buddy Holly track that the feisty one covered for a tribute album.
Sexy Track: “Beat Of My Drum” by Nicola Roberts
2Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud has gone and done it – she released one of the best pop songs of 2011. The lesser-known member of the group went solo with a great media campaign coupled with a pumping new song. “Beat Of My Drum” is a cheerleader’s dream without being to cheesy. It’s the natural continuation of progressive pop and Toni Basil’s legacy. From first listen, we were taken aback with this tune that has a chorus stronger than a tornado. This song will give you the right amount of energy for a festive summer.
