Madonna is ready to release yet another album. Well, Madonna is always ready to release an album to support a tour, not the other way around. Judging by the previous couple of albums, it might concentrate on the singles and fill the rest with fluff. Her manager Guy O’Seary tweeted this news earlier. Let’s just wish and hope that she stays away from anyone that worked with her on Hard Candy, probably her worst album ever. However, another American Life or Ray Of Light would be grandiose.

1Video Preview: “In The Dark” by Dev
1This is the make-or-break single from Dev’s debut album which she called The Night The Sun Came Up. If there’s any pop justice out there this would be a hit this summer, it has all the components and people remember her vocals from last summer’s hit “Like A G6.”

1Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Late Nights, Early Mornings” by Marsha Ambrosius
1When it comes to neosoul, we always knew that one-half of Floetry has got it. When it comes to video you making, we didn’t know she had all these ideas in her. Following her previous video for “Far Away,” which tackled anti-bulling and homophobia, her second single deals with the issue of safe sex and seroconversion. Lovely idea, Ms. Marsha Ambrosius, keep them coming.

2Introducing… Emeli Sandé
1
Sandé began her career after finishing her medical degree at the university. She began writing tracks for artists such as Alesha Dixon, Chipmunk, Professor Green, Devlin, Preeya Kalidas, Cheryl Cole, Tinie Tempah, and more. She soon signed a record deal with Virgin Records and EMI Records. In an interview, she states “I was doing a show in London for 1Xtra and I met this guy called Naughty Boy. We got in the studio and we clicked work wise. We just started writing, not necessarily for me, we just thought ‘lets write a pop tune’ and experiment. And we wrote the Chipmunk track and I thought nothing of it. Naughty Boy sent it off to Chipmunk who really liked it and wrote his stuff around it.”
Exclusive: 5 Questions With Loft965.com: Vanessa Carlton
11. Greetings from Kuwait! Loft965.com picked your album as an “Album to look forward to in 2011.” How do you feel about that and what do you think this year holds for you?
So happy that you dig rabbits. Making this record was personally transformative…..people connecting to the finished product is wonderful and makes me feel less alone I think.
2. We love the first single. What will be your next single?
Not sure. “I Don’t Want To Be A Bride?,” “Dear California?”
3. How do you find your departure from mainstream labels to be and do you prefer it this way?
I cut ties from everything 2 years ago. I self funded the record and became my own little arts and crafts shop. I am so lucky to have been able to do that. Since then I found this indie label called Razor and Tie. They loved the vibe of this album and are on the same page in terms of the direction I’m heading. Again….I feel less alone. Nice.
4. Your new album, Rabbits On The Run, is very different than your previous releases. What was your inspiration behind making it?
It’s taken me 10 years to get back to the honest vibe of my earlier demos. How many times do you hear demos of songs and prefer them to the overly embellished record version? I NEVER want to feel that way again. I made a very honest and simple record. I was inspired by the sound of my vinyl record collection in terms of aesthetic. The songs are a meditation of 2 books….Watership Down by Richard Adams and A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. The art work is inspired by the Hill’s Manuel….an etiquette book from the 1900′s.
5. We love quotes, what is your favorite quote or motto?
My motto is this: Pin. The. Tail. On. The. Donkey.

1Video Premiere: “Last Friday Night (TGIF)” by Katy Perry
1Katy Perry’s fifth single from her second non-Christian album Teenage Dream has a video now. Although “E.T.” hasn’t been out for long. At any rate, it’s humdrum hollywood verging-on slapstick funny. Watch out for the Rebecca Black cameo!
