Sexy Track: “Southern Freeez” by Beverley Knight
1Another classic covered by Beverley Knight on her tribute album to the genre of British soul, Soul UK. This time it’s a big funk disco-tinted classic from a little-known band Freeez. This track needed revival and thanks to Bev for bringing it to the forefront of pop music. It’s a swinging gem with great vocals laden by one of the best singers of our time!
Happy Birthday To Me!
So, the big 3-0 is here and its fierce. Dirty thirty never felt so good. The celebrations are not over yet, I assume and I like this pinnacle in my life. A lot his changed for this date, even though I don’t feel a day over 21 (Okay, maybe 24)! All my loved ones made sure to spend some quality time with me or just give me a lengthy phone call since its summer season in Kuwait and everyone is tryna get the hell outta here! AM (above) who is an avid reader of the blog dropped us a video, which was very nice of him and was one of the things that made my day! Thank you, again.
Keep it tight and thank you for all the birthday well-wishes! Follow me on Twitter!

1This song is destined for greatness had it been given the time and publicity it deserves. Who know, it could me one of those end-of-summer hits, it definitely has all the ingredients!

Video Premiere: “Love Is Found” by Sade
4If Sade would stop recording live albums and compiling another greatest hits collection after each and every album she released then maybe we will have time to care more about what she does. She seems to follow the corporate ideals of Madonna – waste less time on music and more on repackaging it. This is anotehr lackluster from her last comeback.
Missy Higgins finished recording third album!
2The summer of last year when we met Missy Higgins in Los Angeles she told us that she is taking it slow and not pressuring herself into making another album anytime soon. We expressed our love for everything she has does and told her that we even listen to her B-sides. She replied that she might go back into the studio sometime in the near future. Well, it turns out that she did because she just tweeted that she has officially finished recording the new album, which will be her third. This is exciting news as Autumn is coming up and there is no better time to listen to some strums from Missy Higgins than during Fall.
Video Premiere: “I Want You” by Morten Hampenberg & Alexander Brown Featuring Stine Bramsen
It seems like the front woman of Alphabeat has branched off for a little bit on her solo career working with house producers. Her vocals are so attached to her bands work that its hard to dissociate this track from the band. Still, this brand on Mykonos-dance is new to the vocalist and it comes with ease to her, don’t you think?
Ameriie titles new album “Cymatika”
1As if it wasn’t enough that Ameriie changed the spelling of her name to reinvent her image with an annoying double “i,” which only works if your last name is Minogue. But, Ameriie is further jumping the shark by naming her new alvym Cymatika. Cymatics is the study of visual sound. Beautiful concept, but not when it sounds like something came out of the crypt. At any rate, let’s hope she’ll have something to show on this one unlike the previous one.
