We are glad to see that Dionne Bromfield is recovering after the passing of her godmother who launched her career and aided her throughout. This is a lovely little rendition of the Mark Ronson cover of “Valerie” at the V Festival.

 

 

Beyonce’s next single from “4″ is “Party”

It has been announced that Beyonce has decided (or her record label, or collectively) that the next single after “Run The World (Girls)” and “Best Thing I Never Had” from 4 will be the Andre 3000 featuring “Party.” This is definitely not one of the strongest tracks on the album. We wanted “I Care” or, of course, “End Of Time,” which would have propelled the album sales to new heights. The track’s not so bad, but there are other great moments of there.

Pandora Boxx is ready to unleash some beats our way. RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2′s Miss Congeniality puts her comedic talents to music with this song titled “Couter.” The single will be out on September 27th! Let’s hope it gets a hilarious video!

Amy Winehouse has broken another posthumous record and this one is bigger than anything before. The late one has notched up enough sales to make her monumental album Back To Black the best-selling album from the UK in this century. Of course, the century’s not over, but this is for now. There was a time when hip hop was headed somewhere, where the sound and melody mattered as much the rhymes. Also, there was a time when it was a more collaborative effort with R&B and Soul artists. This is one gem of the time that resonated through.
