Rihanna’s second single from “Talk That Talk” is going to be…
2Internet rumors circulating have quasi-confirmed that Rihanna has a second single coming before the release of the album Talk That Talk. Rihanna usually does that – release 2 singles before the album to build some buzz and also to capitalize on the fact that more people will pay for the single and also the song on the album as a cut. The alleged rumor is that the single will be the title track. Yeah, it’s also called “Talk That Talk.” So, there you go. Updates will be posted to verify if this is true or not. Oh, and also the rumored release date in November 14th, which we think is too close to “We Found Love.”

Sexy Track: “Runaway” by Will Young
1So, we shrugged off Will Young’s Echoes not because we don’t have faith in him, but because we had and influx new music to sift through. But, once we got to the album it reminded us of why we fell in love with his work and why we still think he is one of the few good things to come out of reality TV. This song in particular is an undiscovered gem on his fifth album. It’s a breezy dance track with an 80s’ synth flavor and soulful vocals. Will Young is not stranger to this brand of soul. It’s a very UK thing to take great things from American soul and implement them with timely arrangement. The songs encourages flight and is very apt for those who suffer from wanderlust. It’s just very laid-back classic Will Young. This should be the next single after “Come On” if his record company’s ears are open.

2Can someone tell Beyonce that “1+1=2″ has no algebra in it whatsoever?
Again: Music For Winter: Laxicover III
7Another one of those compilations that you can’t get enough of. This one has become so successful that it’s in its third year running. The concept is simple, it’s a covers mix with songs that we loved and still love after many revamps. So, if you haven’t checked out the first one and second one, you could start from here to see what it’s all about. Mellow, chill renditions that will leave you wanting to make sweet sweet love, or something like that. If you can’t understand the idea of making sweet love, this is not for you.

Madonna and Lola look for the next “Material Girl”
1Well, at least we know Madonna’s acting is still ostentatiously horrific. It’s funny how Madonna is suddenly stressing the supposed irony of the song “Material Girl” right around the same time the whole #Occupy movement is taking place.

Legendary: “17 Pink Sugar Elephants” by Vashti Bunyan
3Vashti Bunyan is a hipster’s dream. A hippie that commuted across the UK, release one album in 70s’ and then disappeared into oblivion without leaving a dent on any charts. Decades later, her album grew into being a collectible and was noted as an influence by such freak-folk personalities as Devendra Banhart and Joanna Newsom. Now, it has become a cult classic. This is one of the standout tracks from her career. Pick up her discs if you have the chance – there’s some good stuff on there.
