Regina Spektor is back with a set of new songs to be releases sometimes May 2012. The new album is called What We Saw From The Cheap Seats. She explained on Facebook: ”I’m very excited to say that this summer I recorded a new record with Mike Elizondo in L.A. It’s been finished for a little while, but I had no idea when it would be out in the world until now. We’re trying to get everything ready for it to come out in May (but I will share some stuff before then for sure!).”

Video Premiere: “Silence (Bag Raiders Mix)” by The Ting Tings

1

The Tings Tings are trying to make room for their sophomore album, but so far everything the have been released isn’t up to par to their striking debut. This dance song is neither here nor there and the earlier “Hands” sounds like a B-Side from their older singles. It’s just not the same, this is quite excruciating to listen to.

Air announce new album “Le Voyage Dans La Lune”

One of our favorite duos have announced a new album in the works. Not much news is out about it, but it’s tentatively called Le Voyage Dans La Lune, which means “A Trip To The Moon.” Yes, we love Google Translate. At any rate, the album is set to come out early 2012. La Voyage Dans La Lune is set to feature guest vocalists from Au Revoir Simone and Beach House’s Victoria Legrand.

Air’s Nicolas Godin remarked on the album saying,”‘A Trip to the Moon’ is undoubtedly more organic than most of our past projects. We wanted it to sound ‘handmade and knocked together’, a bit like Méliès’ special effects. Everything is played live and like Méliès’ film, our soundtrack is nourished by living art.”

Jennifer Lopez performs with Pitbull, he gets “excited!”

As you might have known, we are not big J.Lo fans. For many reasons but mainly because she’s a lot of glitz and no content. Asa demonstrated in this video, which, by the way, is a rip off of Britney Spears’ “Toxic.” Anyway, where we see the equally annoying Pitbull allegedly get erect while performing with Jennifer Lopez. Nothing new, really the highlight of this all for us is Robin Thicke clapping at the end.

Andrea True Connection has passed away!

1

By surfing one of our favorite blogs, we have come to find out that disco diva Andrea True Connection, who is most famous for her song “More, More, More” has passed away. The cause of death was not released. She is one of the few adult film stars that made it into the Billboard top 10. Sad news. Her song “More, More, More” was covered by Rachel Stevens and Bananarama. Also it was used as a sample for the Len hit song “Steal My Sunshine.”
