Sexy Track: “Love You So” by Delilah

1

Big, epic pop songs that launch careers are few and far in between. This one’s one of them. It’s bold and makes a statement. The beats almost feel like a tribal call and the lyrics speak of subtle yearning. Delilah is surely one of the artists to look out for in 2012. The visual for the song is also strong. It’s unlike any other track you will hear today on the charts, yet is instantly catchy and not in an annoying way. Give it a couple of spins and see if it grows on you.

Ani DiFranco’s album “¿Which Side Are You On?” has leaked!

1

This could be one of the best days of 2011! Ani DiFranco’s seventeenth (Yes, 17th!) studio album has been released to the public and made its way online. This marks the longest hiatus Ani DiFranco has taken in her prolific career. This one is called ¿Which Side Are You On?. We are already on the 3rd track and loving every bit. Of course we spend a lot of time on YouTube scavenging live sets, so we know some of the songs. But, we could already tell she is concentrating on the melodic side of this more on this one. Click here to visit an unaffiliated website to investigate the leak. As Ani DiFranco would say: “Unauthorized reproduction, while sometimes necessary, is never as good as the real thing.”

Video Premiere: “You Da One” by Rihanna

2

We don’t know why Rihanna thought this would be a good choice a single. There are many different tracks on the album that deserve it more. The video’s not that pretty either. At any rate, let’s hope the next single is “Where Have U Been?” Or should that be left for the Summer?

First Listen: “Anything Like You” by Kelis featuring Will.I.Am

1

Kelis is back in the studio and, we are afraid to report, she is not on the right direction. Following Fleshtone, Kelis has gone back to the sound of her previous works with midtempo R&B. We’d much rather have a straight-up dance album from her. Anyway, click below for yourself to decide for yourself.

Sia Furler is working on Madonna’s new album!

9

We don’t know if this is great news or has SiA officially jumped the shark. But, SiA has been listed as a co-writer with William Orbit on one of the tracks, allegedly. Yes, our SiA is doing tracks for the queen of commercialization. Watch how Madonna will bastardize Furler’s talents.

Update: The track didn’t end up on the final track list, apparently.

Video Premiere: “The Right Thing” by Moby

It seems that Moby is still on his Destroyed promotional binge. As we are huge fans of every other album Moby releases. We never got into the new one fully. We loved Wait For Me though. Still, his work is always up to par. Let’s hope he releases a disco album next. Or one that takes inspiration from disco.
