Sexy Track: “Love After War” by Robin Thicke

1

Although the song does start sounding eerily similar to Mariah Carey’s “Can’t Let Go,” it takes a turn right after the first bars. The song is a signature Robin Thicke song. Making love is center stage to the plot of everything, but it still addresses prior dispute, which, in turn, invigorates the seduction flame. It’s a lovely cozy winter track with a great soul sensibility and an overwhelming dosage of sexy. It’s the opener to the new album and should serve as an example for the journey Thicke will take us on throughout the disc. There is no one quite like Robin Thicke right now and he’s a master at what he does.

Little Mix win X-Factor UK!

1

We really haven’t been watching the show, but we are glad a girl band won. We need as many girl bands on earth as possible, they only bring more and more joy. Let’s hope they produce so premium pop for the coming years. Starting off with a ballad, though – a no-no!

Video Premiere: “Stand Behind The Music” by Anjulie

“#Occupy” fever is sweeping across the world. As she puts it: “This song is about standin’ up for whatever it is u believe in. for me its music. for a lot of the people in this video its freedom. freedom of equal rights, of religion, of peace or of speech. i went to the protests downtown LA and watched the footage online of similar protests around the world and it inspired me. as an artist navigating your way through the music industry there are so many things standing in your way. time and time again i have had to fight for the things i believe in. when i first moved to new york from toronto i would play guitar and sing in lobbies of record companies, on the streets and in subways. little did i know getting signed was just the beginning. since then i have been pushing for everything from the music i want to make to the artwork on this single to keeping this song on my album. these videos struck a chord with me because the passion i saw resonated with my own. no matter how big or small the cause, passion is passion. i am in no way promoting anarchy or violence. i’m simply in awe of the human spirit and the lengths people will go to stand up for they believe in… stand behind the music.”

Free Alana Davis! Sign the petition…

To: Alana Davis, her band and Co.

We the undersigned fans and loving devotees of Alana Davis, respectfully ask Davis to release an album as soon as possible. We have waited and waited for a long time to no avail. Not only that, but no news on the musical career of Alana Davis has come our way in ages. The lovely melodies of Alana Davis came our way with the epic Blame It On Me, swept us further with Fortune Cookies and then gave us another dosage with Surrender Dorothy. Now, we are left addicted and yearning for more from one of the best and most underrated artists, singers and songwriters of our time. Great musicians are a rare commodity and we would hate to have Alana Davis’s music vanish from our lives. All we ask for is some more material as soon as possible. A single, EP, live album or (most preferbly) a full-length album would bring joy into our lives and soothe our consciousness. Please take the time out to consider our wishes, as we have been loyal fans since the beginning of your career.

Please take time out to sign this petition by leaving your name, email in the comments section below.

Watch: Amy Winehouse’s “Hidden Treasures” documentary!

2

This is a 15-minute documentary of Amy Winehouse’s posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures. We are not too happy about the album, because there are versions of older tracks and some songs that we consider rarities. It’s not really a full-length album, more of a collection of many different bits a pieces that have been reworked or revisited. We know there are more tracks hidden that they are not releasing until the future.

Charlotte Gainsbourg’s album “Stage Whisper” has leaked!

1

Charlotte Gainsbourg’s side projects are on the side and she is getting back to her solo project. This is a double disc that contains studio tracks and a live set. We are excited as we bought Melancholia to watch her and definitely not Kirsten Dunst. The album is pending review.

Introducing… Delilah

3

Delilah can push you back in your seat and demand you attention. A trait rarely found in today’s pop start. Her fusion of soul , pop and a tint of world makes for sturdy melodies as demonstrated on her new track “Love You So.”

She is the industry’s best-kept secret. With no released material – not even a MySpace/Twitter page until now! She presents a new and exciting prospect for her major label. With a catalogue of raw material under her belt – one being the first song she wrote when she was 12, this talented young woman has the industries finest in a stir.

Delilah’s unique look and sound epitomizes the true essence of the multi cultural environment she grew up. She was raised amongst the vibrant sound of London’s live music scene. Her father introduced her to this through his work in promoting British bands and live music, during the 90’s. When he died in 2002, Delilah used her emotional experiences of life and death to start creating her own music.

Sexy Track: “Where Have U Been” by Rihanna

3

When it comes to singles Rihanna is on a roll. So much so that her single sell and chart better than her albums. Her record company knows the real draw and she is not about to miss out on another number one. This here is another big dance number that will most probably be a single off of her new album Talk That Talk. Actually, this will most definitely be a single. It is meant to get you up on the dance floor singing for decades to comes. The beat is infectious and trendy (both in the good and bad senses.) The lyrics are crying for someone to sing along to them with a yearning attitude post-a couple of drinks at a straight club. Watch this be the summer stomper of 2012 from Mykonos to Miami.
