It’s official! Madonna will perform during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show on February 5th, 2012. Her side said: ”We are happy to confirm that Madonna will perform in the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 5, as announced during tonight’s game on NBC!

The Knife perform “Pass This On” live!

It’s been a while since we heard from the Knife, it’s good to get a snippet like this in the morning. This song was used in the 2010 drama film Les amours imaginaires by Canadian director Xavier Dolan. The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the2010 Cannes Film Festival. At any rate, the album is supposed to drop in the new year!

Madonna’s new song “Masterpiece” got leaked!

Another track from Madonna’s new project has leaked. It’s called “Masterpiece” and it is the new theme song from the icon’s film W.E. It seems to us that she is struggling a little on the vocals and something tells us that this is not the final version. Click here to check it out through another unaffiliated blog.

Tori Amos to release instrumental album!

Tori Amos is not done with her bout of love for classical music. The lovely warbler is going to release Sin Palabras, an instrumental  and raw version of her previous album Night of Hunters. This is all cute and everything, but we are done with the classical era of Tori Amos’s career and are looking forward to some rock loving. The album will be released on December 13th on Deutsche Grammophon.

Introducing… Second Person

In late 2001, singer Julia Johnson and producer/bassist Mark Maclaine met, and early the following year formed the band Second Person. They spent the next two years writing material and playing gigs with a variety of musicians. Drummer Alvaro Lopez was recruited in mid 2004 and Second Person’s debut album Chromatography was released later that year. It went on to sell out of its initial white-label run in the United Kingdom, USA and Australia. The band went on to record a live DVD at The Bedford in London and score music for a number of British broadcasters, including the BBC and Channel 4, and became one of the main suppliers of music for The Extreme Sports Channel.

In 2005 Second Person were finalists in the Glastonbury Unsigned Competition, coming in the top 24 bands from 1600. They also wrote widely for short films and features, contributing songs and composing original scores, as well as working solidly to refine and develop their sound and material.
