Lofty Prediction: List of artists for BBC Sound Of 2012!
3As the world braces to see who is on the list of BBC’s Sound of 2012, we are mulling over some choice that might pop up in the list, which , by the way, produced more failures than success stories. Still, too many it’s the to-go list for many people looking for new beats for the new year. The past years we have always embraced artists way before they were on the list and then they managed to pop up. So, this time we are going to give you our predictions before. Here they go:
Mr. Little Jeans
Azealia Banks
Amanda Mair
Stooshe
The WooWoos
Also, you know we usually concentrate on female vocalists over here, so we’ll leave the other picks for you, but as far as our genre, some of these will definitely pop up.

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Marry The Night” by Lady Gaga
4Lady Gaga’s new 13 minute music video for “Marry The Night” – the next single from Born This Way – has leaked in full on Twitter. Unfortunately, the YouTube version is not out so we will forward you to one of our favorite blogs run by our friend. About the video, high-drama, pushing too many ideas in at once and fire. Typical.
Video: “Without You” by Little Jinder

1Video Premiere: “Come Save Me” by Jagwar Ma
1Madonna records ballad for “W.E.” soundtrack!
1
Guy O’Seary, Madonna’s right-hand man, has confirmed that the singer (we hate calling her that) has recorded a ballad (oh my Mariah) for the movie she worked on WE. The song is not only going to be on the soundtrack for the highly touted movie, but also, in Madonna fashion it will end up on the next album (Remember how unwittingly “Die Another Day” was crammed into American Life), which will probably be released to support a tour, not vice versa. Let’s home she pulls it off this time and doesn’t get scratchy like this moment.
Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Safe Travels (Don’t Die)” by Lisa Hannigan
1This track we hand-picked last September as a standout from her album Passenger. So, it makes us happy to see it get to be a single and get such a quirky video treatment appropriate from the coming winter.
Grammy Nominations for 2012 are out!
2The grammy Nominations are out and, again, they are off the mark with waht’s really happening in music. But, they are giving kudos to all the big sellers and the show will probably be fun. So, that’s how it goes! We starred who we think should win in the categories we care about. Click below to see the full list.
Monica talks about “New Life,” hair sow-ins!
1We are not dealing well with the fact that Monica’ new album the aptly-titled New Life has been postponed, but will wait to get the optimum of R&B goodness out of the Atlanta diva!
PJ Harvey covers Uncut magazine!
1Must-Watch: “All I Want For Christmas Is You (SuperFestive!)” by Mariah Carey & Justin Bieber
3Of course we are going to make this a “Must-Watch.” The presence of Mariah alone constitutes that, even when the annoying Justin Bieber with her. Mrs. Carey is out to give her self-penned classic another shot at fame, let’s hope this gets to the #1 position it has always deserved. It’s the only song that has made an appearance on the charts every year since it was released. That’s 15 years ago!
First Listen: “KISS” by Kim Wayman
1Kim Wayman is giving us more of her solo material. This new single just debuted and it’s dreamy. The new single is titled “KISS” and, as you can tell, she’s going for the whole re-visualization of her image yet staying true to the atmospheric sound. Click here to purchase and listen to the song.
