Sexy Track: “You’re A Nasty” by Sam Sparro

1

Loft965.com previously recommended Sam Sparro‘s “Pink Cloud,” which was availble for free on his website with a couple of remixes and a b-side. Well, it turns out that B-side was one of the most stellar tracks of the year. In the same vein, “You’re A Nasty” adopts the styles of 90s’ fashion house music propogated by acts like Alphabeat and, now, Hercules And Love Affair. But, this track not only has the catwalk beats, it has both dirty lyrics and dirty beats to go along with it. Basically, we love a song that will make you get up and dance even if you don’t feel like it. This is one of those tunes. If this is a sample of what is to become of Sam Sparro’s sophomore album, then we are looking at one of the records of the year.

Lofty Prediction: Britney Spears’ album “Femme Fatale” is going to be lackluster!

This is going to send some Britney cray-crays out of the window. But, this is not a thorough opinion, just a guesstimation. Every Britney Spears album comes with a robust first single, but this time around “Hold It Against Me” is hardly that. Usually the second best track is chosen as the lead single, to give the album good ground from which to establish itself and then give the second single some hype. But, if “Hold It Against Me” the second best track on the album then this album will probably be lacking, if not her worst. We have tried time and time again to like this song to no avail and now that we see the video, we are positive there is no hope for it to win our hearts over. Sad, but true.

Lofty Prediction: Lady Gaga’s music video for “Born This Way” will be banned!

Lady Gaga’s third album is not about to land without a bang. Although many people thought her performance during the Grammy Awards wasn’t that good, Lady Gaga could have something bigger up her sleeve. We think that the egg thing (which was already done by Bjork) wasn’t enough to initiate the launch of the third album. Rumors of the Lady Gaga giving birth in the video for “Born This Way” and/or wearing crucifix stilettos had us thinking that this dame wants to cause more controversy ahead of the release. We have a feeling that the video might be great, but she will push it even further to make headlines. What do you think?
