Only a few people are brave enough to channel 80s’ MOR Rock to conjure up a hit these day, but Gotye is a force to reckon with. The Australian rocker has embarked on a venture to channel the best sounds of The Police, Phil Collins and Mike + The Mechanics and come up with a unique sound for his new album Making Mirrors. This track is the one making most waves. It’s a great number with a hint of lyrical nostalgia. It’s a stark ballad that teeters between a sombre ode to lost love to a brighter look into the future.

Blues is getting a whole new revival. Jody Marie was born in Windsor, Sydney Australia, and came to the UK at the tender age 16. Upon learning she actually had a voice, she decided to try and write songs…and that she did. Fino has performed for Shayne Ward at the AECC arena in Aberdeen, is is currently studying to get that big shiny degree in Popular Music. How wonderful. Fino has adopted a rather pop influenced style, with very dark and moody undertones. She likes to call it: “A mix between Massive Attack, P!nk, Britney Spears and Nerina Pallot”. Hmm. Quite. But hey, it sounds pretty good anyway. At present, Fino is very broke…so new songs will be on the way as soon as she has busted her butt long enough to rake up some dough.

Gabriella Cilmi is trying every genre known to earth to make and all she needs to know is that her Aussie pizzaz is all she needs to get her where she wants to get. A new album that concentrates on vocals and less of overproduction in the studio would do wonders. Not sure where this track is from but the investigation shall ensue.

We are so yearning for new material from SiA that we are keep scouring the internet for more and more. We came across this cute little montage!

We don’t know if this is great news or has SiA officially jumped the shark. But, SiA has been listed as a co-writer with William Orbit on one of the tracks, allegedly. Yes, our SiA is doing tracks for the queen of commercialization. Watch how Madonna will bastardize Furler’s talents.

About time! So lovely seeing one of the greatest pop artists of our time get the recognition they deserve. Good times.

It is about time that she retired this song from promo appearances. We are still bitter that she didn’t release “Too Much” as a single, we don’t know if we can recover from all the bad single choices Kylie has made across her career. But, we still love her to death.

We, here, at Loft965.com are very excited for any tour DVD Kylie Minogue releases because she always dazzles unequivocally. This is probably one of our least favorite Kylie singles, but it’s rockin’ in the performance!
