Exclusive: Music For December: Laxicover VIII

laxicover

Ready to sweep you off of your feet for the eight installation, Laxicover VIII is back (and a little late) to help you out with some renditions of popular songs that you might know or might be introduced to. This one is kneeling a little towards the soul side – this is how we like it these days. If you like the previous ones then this is right up your ally. What else is there to be said?

Also, we realize that not many people download stuff these days as everybody is streaming, therefore all of our compilations will now be on Spotify!

Exclusive: Music for February 2016: Toucana

This last month has been an interesting one for us, we completed a year of residency in Bangkok, Thailand. We also went to a very far away destination, that’s very hard to reach – the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. And, some great news came around on the personal front, which is our business – haha! But, the very unique and interesting terrain for Papua New Guinea inspired us to go ahead and put together this compilation that is a mixture of different beats – but, nearing the soul and R&B side of the game – which is one of the closest genres to our hearts. We do a compilation for every months and there is a certain concoction we stick to, this one is one of those. Anyway, we hope you like it!

Exclusive: Music For Spring: Gaypril11

The one that officially started it all is here and it’s in its 11th installation (who thought we would be doing this for 11 years!). Although it is very late this month, it’s worth it! (We had the busiest month of our lives, so bear with us.) This is just what it is – fun unabashed pop and dance. The stuff music snobs give you a face to when you mention you like it. Get up and never get down with this music! The compilation is ready to usher in your Northern Hemispheric Summer in style and without any pretence. The formula hasn’t changed, just the songs! We hope you like it!

Exclusive: Music for January: Sòtrêum

SòtrêumNew years warrants a new era, and for us, girl – it’s so true. We are embarking on a new segment of our lives and moving far far far away. Therefore, we wanted to make a festive compilation, the pulls it all together into meaning towards the end. 20 tracks, with no specific genre or concept – other than that of new beginning. The name Sòtrêum is a combination of two Thai words: “fresh” and “start.” Not sure if it makes sense in actual Thai, but it makes for a good name for us!

The cover for this compilation was created by the fabulous Bader Al-Munayes! Check his Instagram account out!

Exclusive: Music For October: Justrut

After two compilations that took us on a downward spiral (in terms of sound), we are back with an exuberant mix of tracks that will make you face the Northern Hemispheric winter with glee. This is a stomper of a compilation, with little-known pop gems strewn all over with a couple of off-beat tracks. This one’s for everyone. Enjoy it and tell me what you think!

Exclusive: Music For Summer: Splashine 5

The quintessential Summer compilation is here to sweep you off your feet. The Splashine series is the most downloaded of all compilations, it has been featured in magazines, blogs and played on national radio! Splashine 5 has been carefully crafted to fit this half-decade legacy of its sound. Staying true to its combination of soulful house, funk, acid jazz and downtempo roots.

This one goes back to basics and reflects on the first two parts of the series with great concentration on happy house and playful moods. This is designed to start off your Summer with a bang and be your loyal friend for ages to come. As per usual, we would love to hear your feedback.
