Legendary: “I’m Coming Out” by Diana Ross

1

Diana Ross is a legend. No need to elaborate on that statement. We were recently sent a copy of her DVD – Live In Central Park and we saw bits of all today’s divas in her. Though she might have reached the pinnacle during a different time, her presence and resilience is not to be forgotten. This is just a tid bit of what she had to offer in this monumental concert.

Lana Del Rey’s next single is…

1

Lana Del Rey is riding high on Born To Die. The lovely one has taken to releasing as many single as she feels. Last times we were confused between “Without You” and “Carmen.” This time around it’s not one of them, nor is it our favorite tune from the album “Diet Mtn. Dew.” But, it’s another track by the name of…

First Listen: “Lisboa” by Melody Gardot

So, a huge chunk of Melody Gardot’s new album is not in English, which doesn’t make us too happy. But the melodies of Melody (Sorry, we couldn’t resist), is up to par. This is another track from the lovely set that is The Absence. It’s an ode to the capital of Portugal, if we assume correctly. Click below to listen to it.

Legendary: “Mythical Kings & Iguanas” by Dory Previn

We originally wanted to post “With My Daddy In The Attic,” but we couldn’t find a live performance of it. If you don’t know Ms. Dory Previn you should wikipedia her. This song turned some heads when it came out. So much so that Tennessee Williams said: “That’s so good, I think I must’ve written it!” Wow, we just found out that she died this February. We just got introduced to her last October.

Alive: “Underneath The Stars” by Mariah Carey at Ischgl, Austria!

This is one of our favorite Mariah Carey tunes out there and we are glad she gave it some time instead of only focusing on the hits. But she sounds like she did something huge when she did she is only doing it for the fans, we mean, it’s only the tracks on Daydream – one of her best selling albums. Your love…

After Kelly Osbourne made RuPaul’s Drag Race disqualifee Willam lip sync for her life against Eden’s World star Eden Wood on Logo’s 2012 New Now Next Awards to Selena Gomez’s Love U Like a Love Song, Willam decided to write a version of the tune that he could really wrap his lips around. Ladies & those more phallically inclined.

Video Premiere: “Call My Name” by Cheryl Cole

The best thing about the entire video is her pants. The whole alley drag race is over done and should be put to rest. The song is teetering on euro-trash. Not sure we like this direction and, now that she is not on TV, word has yet to get in on how well this will perform in the charts.

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Where Have You Been” by Rihanna

We told you this should have been a single from the get-go. We even predicted that it would be great to start off the summer. The video is a little reminiscent of Janet Jackson’s “Escapade” but that’s not a bad thing. This song, for those who haven’t gotten used to it yet, will be the soundtrack to your summer. Sit back, watch it and tell us what you think in the comments section.
