Adele’s album “21″ has leaked!

Adele’s muchly-anticipated and eagerly-awaited second album 21 has made it to the internet a week or se before it’s release date. Yes, the soulful grandiose voice upon us. It contains the hits “Rolling In The Deep” and “Someone Like You.” We have to say that we have been waiting for this release so long. The news is fresh, so we don’t know where it leaked yet, but we hope it doesn’t hurt its chart performance too much. Of course, do not download it but stream it if you find it. November is here and we finally get to hear about Adele‘s sophomore album. It’s titled after her age again, this time 21. Last time it was 19. It is coming out sometime in 2011, but no word yet on when exactly. The album cover is not that great. But, let’s hope the tracks are as good.

She arrived on the scene promising us a big ballast of unapologetic pop music. And we believed her. Promoted her. And even thought she was cute. She was in the right direction. She had the disco balls. She had the Atari triangles. She even had unicorns roaming around her. The songs that surfaced promised a smooth direction into pop path. Even when we thought “Meddle” was bit dry. We blamed it on the early progress of an artist. We believed her. Why wouldn’t we, she plays an Japanese instrument called the Tenori-on.

Adele sings for the brokenhearted…

The first time I heard that song I fell in love with it. It’s a Bob Dylan cover and it was introduced to me by way of the Joan Osborne version, which I think is the best one. I am surprised that they took this single off the album. They have to release “Right As Rain.” Here is the Osborne version:

Sheryl Crow is not bitter…

I don’t know how I missed that one. It is one of my favorite tracks on my top 5 albums of 2008. Detours is easily up there with SiA’s Some People Have Real Problems, Adele’s 19, Ani DiFranco’s Red Letter Year and Alanis Morissette’s Flavors Of Entanglement. Madonna’s Hard Candy nor Janet Jackson’s Discipline made it. The word is still out on Mariah’s E=MC². Isn’t it weird that the year everybody released an album, there are only a few good ones?
