The legacy of the Laxicover series is well-known by followers of the blog. Also, it is well known by its own followers. This is one of the most-coveted compilations of our sets. When we first started this series we noted: “It’s the type of record that you can play on end in the background and, also, jam to whenever you want.” Well, now it has become an entity on its own and it delivers some of the most beautifully laden cover versions of pop songs in the world. Beyonce announces “End Of Time” remix competition!

Starting today, Beyoncé’s is giving music fans from around the world an opportunity to remix “End Of Time,” the #1 UK Urban and Pop Club single from her critically acclaimed album, “4.”   Described as “rapturous,” “apocalyptic” and “percussion-driven” by music critics, “End Of Time” is a massive fan favourite that has already become a major  anthem in clubs from Los Angeles to London.

Beginning on February 8, 2012, music lovers can create their own version of the song and upload it to SoundCloud, the leading social sound platform with over 10 million registered users. The contest ends on March 9, 2012 and is opened to entrants in 25 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada and Australia.

To enter the competition, visit and download the audio stems of “End Of Time.” Then, using the stems, entrants can create a remix of the song and follow the instructions for uploading.

Entries will be voted on by SoundCloud community and the top 50 ranked eligible remixes will be reviewed by a panel of judges, including Beyoncé and a team of music industry experts made up of DJs, performers and producers.  All eligible entries will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity and musicality.  The entrant with the highest overall score will be the grand prize winner.

Beyonce to release “Live In Roseland” DVD, video anthology!

Now we know why Beyonce is going crazy with video releases. Every tracks seems to be getting the video treatment nowadays at the Beyonce camp, much like the B’Day days. It seems that Beyonce is not slowing down with her first pregnancy. To ensure the ball rolling, B is doing this for 4 to keep the promotional wheels going strong even after her delivery. Live In Roseland: The Elements Of 4 is a live DVD that is set for release on November 29th, 2011. The deluxe version will include a 7-video DVD of songs from 4. As of now, the songs that got a video are “Run The World (Girls),” “Best Thing I Never Had,” “1+1,” “Countdown,” “Love On Top” and “Party.” Which one do you think will be next?
