Is the US to blame for Iran unrest?

6

Neda_Agha-Soltan

The dire situation in Iran looks like it’s not going to end anytime soon. Following Neda Soltani’s graphic death and many more violent outbursts in the streets of Tehran, the people still seem adamant on getting their votes counted and counted correctly. As we see with revolutions, there has to be a valid and clear reason for people to stand up against a tyrannic government. When you’ve lost all hope and take to the streets that’s when it all happens. But, the media is portraying this as a purely domestic issue and world leaders are not addressing the issue because they fear their words would skew the train of the thought in the Iranian streets. But, in actuality, this issue is an international one and had former world leaders not interfered in Iranian affairs this wouldn’t all be happening.

Cheney’s daughter defends torture

1

No that the last government is on a permanent vacation, their kin and friends are up in arms trying to condone what the last incumbent US government did. In all reality, here is Liz Cheney, who looks like an intellegent woman, trying to give excuses to the suffocation of people under water. Waterboarding, to her, is not considered torture. I wonder what she does for fun.

The US becomes less religious

q-atheistnewlogo

According to a new study atheists, agnostics and other non-believers has not only become greater in the US, but it has doubled. This means that not only are non-believers a big chunk of the population, but the third largest belief group after catholics and baptists. I think that this is the case everywhere in world. Some countries that do not allow religious freedom might be surprised as to how many non-believers there are around them. It’s just that most liberals do not like to tread on people’s toes and this causes a silence about pertinent issues like religion and disbelief.  Good for the US. Give Obama a break…

1

bagley_1-27_09-5The conservatives are looking out for Obama to fail at his stimulus plan and watching his every step for him to fail. Of course George W Bush is not under scrutiny on their part for initiating this crisis, the instead blame it on the Clinton years. What a burden Obama has as in incoming presidents only to have the conservatives forming a senate block against him and criticizing every move before he makes it. They must be bitter that they are responsible for the worst president to ever enter the oval office. Let’s see what a trillion does…

Please, excuse her beauty…

This show, I can’t watch. Not because I don’t find it amusing, but I feel like the American cops attitude is atrocious. Sometimes they say things that make make angry. Like, for example, when he asked “Steven” why his shorts were so short. It’s not his place, Steven can wear whatever he wants to. And if he doesn’t want to be referred to as “Steven” then they shouldn’t refer to him/her as that. Really, they need courses on ending police malpractice and brutality. Meanwhile, “Steven” is hella funny. Excuse her beauty!

This is what a feminist looks like…

2

I don’t know if I agree with this, but I see the intention behind it. They are trying to make feminism look approachable and not intimidating. I never thought that, historically, it was ever unapproachable. I think people from the other camp made it look like it is.
