Billboard announced today that Grammy Award-winning artist P!nk will accept its coveted Woman of the Year Award at the 2013 Billboard Women in Music event, sponsored by COVERGIRL and City National Bank, taking place Dec. 10 in New York City. This award honors the achievements of a trailblazing female recording artist over the past 12 months, and acknowledges her overall success in the music business and her leadership in embracing the changing industry.
“I was absolutely shocked and surprised to hear that Billboard named me Woman of the Year,” says P!nk. “It’s been an incredible year and I feel so grateful to radio for sticking by me, and to the fans and friends and all of the incredible talent that I was fortunate enough to work with for this album.”
P!nk is currently on her acclaimed, sold-out tour, THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE TOUR, presented by COVERGIRL, which has now been extended to a total of 140 shows worldwide due to overwhelming demand.
