The battle for the Sugababes’ name is on. Ousted member Keisha Buchanan is taking to the courts and everyone is wondering, first, why she decided to do so and, second, why does she think the name is attached to her and not Mutya Buena or Siobhan Donaghy. But, she is working hard on the new album. Let’s hope the solo matter with overshadow Amelle.

Yes, one of the original founders and the only one that lasted throughout the career is mad that Amelle Barrebah took the band away from her. It’s just not the same without Keisha Buchanan. They have become too cookie-cutter. Jade Ewen is too squeaky clean for our liking and we feel the band has jumped the shark now. We never thought that we’d see the day that Amelle Barrabah would take center-stage. Horrid line-up, fun song.
What we all wanted to hear is finally hear: Keisha Buchanan did bully Siobhán Donaghy out of the orignal line-up of the Sugababes. And Siobhán Donaghy will never forgive her, apparently. Yes, the news is in. The only original member of the Sugababes, Keisha Buchanan, is leaving the band. And guess what? Forcefully. It’s been confirmed by her. We always felt Amelle Berrabah was up to no good. She probably pulled some strings to make this happen.
Keisha will be signed as a solo artist, which means we’ll get an album out of her before the record label sucks the life out of her. The good thing is, the original Sugababes can all reform. Surprisingly, “Get Sexy” is quite solid track with a beat so hot, it’s up there with the Black Eyes Peas “Boom Boom Pow.” The album, which Amazon.co.uk said was called LP7 but is not, will have two singles out already before it drops. This is happening with a lot of artists because after the advent of iTunes and other sites, the album seems to be dying and singles are all that brings in the money these days. So, we get two singles from Sugababes, two from Mariah, two from Beyonce and two leaks from Whitney.
