So, allegedly, we woke up today with an email from Zomba Records in our inbox. Yes, the one and only Britney Spears had news for Loft965.com. Her management has emailed us because they are starting out a campaign for the launch of the new Britney Spears singles rumored to be titled “Hold It Against Me.”
Basically, the are launching a campaign through Facebook and want us to publicize it the Loft965.com logo will be included in the widget for the campaign. This is major!
The management wants us to get the word out on the new single. The strategy is to get at least 2 million people to announce the single’s release on their Facebook status. When they reach that number, the actual single will be unlocked on iTunes for all to purchase. How exciting is this?
We are currently in correspondence with Zomba/Jive and will keep you updated. Let’s hope the widget is embeddable on WordPress. If not, we will post the link anyway for this campaign along with the especially customized widget for Loft965.com by Britney Spears’ Management. Brace yourselves!

Madonna dropped by LV, attends “A Single Man” premiere

In a recession like this, Madonna is surely too expensive for once luxurious brand, now mainstream outlet Louis Vuitton. LV did not renew their contract with the iconoclast, but opted for a cheaper, younger and less photoshopped model named Lara Stone. This move is being cited as a Madonna snub but Marc Jacobs probably just wants to keep it fresh. In other new, Madonna supported friend and fashion designer Tom Ford at the recent premiere of his movie A Single Man (above).
New York City ad campaign turns heads…
Manhattan buses have been plastered with these ads everywhere. They are brought on by the Coalition Of Reason and set to bring the facts to center-stage. New York, being a metropolitan forward-thinking city, has a high concentration of Atheists, Agnostics, Rationalists and Non-believers. Therefore, this ad campaign serves to bring light to that fact. On his side again. What a moving speech. No international news channel broadcast this (except for a tiny bit in BBC International). They should have really. This message of change should’ve gotten across to the world because it’s not just an American issue, it’s an international issue. When the world listen to one of the most loved public figures the world over say such things they might realize that this is a issue of concern and look around them. Hate, in any form, should never be accepted. One’s beliefs shouldn’t curtail another person’s road to happiness. Anyway, getting too preachy here. But, you get the point. 3This is an advertisement for a Brazilian campaign to save water. It’s asking everyone to conserve water by peeing in the shower. Yes, you heard it right. It’s actually quite smart because urinating in the shower would eliminate the daily gallons that go down because of flushing.
PETA targets fat people

People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has started a campaign called “Save The Wales.” It aims to promote vegetarianism as a diet. The target is the overweight and it is a bit insulting but it delivers the message across. Does anyone know an overweight vegetarian?
Marc Jacobs designs pro-gay rights t-shirts

In the quest for equality and human rights, the newly-married Marc Jacobs has released a series of t-shirt that demand equal rights for marriage. Good point, why should gay people be taxed if they can’t live equal lives and can’t get their right to pursuit of happiness, which the US constitution cites explicitly.
These t-shirts cost $24. The proceeds will go directly to the Human Rights Campaign. They will be available in all Marc by Marc Jacobs stores hopefully around the world.
