Haiku Review: “Wild Young Hearts” by The Noisettes
Björk’s Voltaic is out
1

Björk’s four CD-set commemorating the greatness of her most recent album, or whatever it is, is out now. It contains one live CD, one live DVD, one DVD of all the music videos from Volta and a remix CD. Voltaic is yet another on of those packages that don’t really offer anything new but the packaging is fabulous.
Music For March: Moodulation

This is the compilation I shelved for a poppier and more uppity February. Si, it makes its debut in March and as much as my collection is overflowing with new sexy pop tracks for March. I managed to stick to my older mantra and that is to serve up some palatable chill music. This compilation is moody, yet sultry. I can honestly say that it is one of the best i had ever made and i have been doing this for quite a while now. It is something I would listen to. Actually, it was originally titled “Red Red Wine Playlist” and then I liked it so much it became Moodulation (a combination of the words “Mood” and “Modulation”). I hope you like it as much as I do.
Music for February: Synthosium

This time around, I opted for the different route. I shed some pop pride and got with the experimentalists. This is the driest of my compilations, not in a bad sense. More like sun-dried. Initially, I did a very moody chillout compilation and then I decided to shelf it (perhaps for March). After being unsure about it (and a little advice from friends), I decided to make February up and rocky. There’s a huge element of electro-clash, some folktronica and an on-going, but not singular theme of everything synth. Whether it was synthpop or some twangs of freakbeat. This compilation is not for everybody, especially those used to a pop template, but it is surely a grower, at least for me. It’s a great get-up-and-go kind of compilation. I hope you like and, of course, feedback’s always welcome.
Mariah sings “Hero” for Obama

And it just happens to be the selling ticket for her Ballads compilation, which contains “How Much” with Usher, which is uptempo. Anyway, she’s back in the studio.
Kylie’s X Tour is out on DVD…
I just ordered it and I can’t wait for it. I went and watched her live, but this one has all the segments and I am sure it has sexy bonus features.
Pop vending machines by sony…
Sony is releasing these vending machines that will have DVDs, CDs, USBs and pretty much everything that has been acronymized. This is set to hit the UK this winter and I wonder what kind of stuff they will stock. I feel like its all going to be like Snakes On Planes DVDs and Coldplay CDs. Anyway, its an exciting feature.
Elephants… Teeth Sinking Into Heart
Racheal Yamagata’s second album is out today and filled with all kinds of melodramatic acoustic, but without forgetting the some ruckus rock. So far, so good. But, I need more time to listen to it. It’s a double CD. So, there lots to waft through.
