Madonna loses Grammy to Lady GaGa

8

Must be a bad day at the Madonna camp. Madge has lost her only Grammy nomination for music to Lady GaGa. “Celebration” was not good enough for the award. What’s more important is, as USA Today puts it: “By contrast, Madonna, whose Celebration lost to Gaga in dance recording, did not win her first non-video Grammy until 1998, 15 years after her debut album.”

Madonna interview on GMTV in full!

Yeah, so she’s back trying to put her yet another re-issue package under some more christmas trees. This is why she is giving some face. And why is she name-dropping Lady GaGa? What happened to poor Britney Spears? Plus, why was there an interview on the interview? And that joke of hers was not that special. We know we hit hard when it comes to Madonna, but really, what we said has to ring true to all you circuit boys out there. No? Then shut up and click below and watch the rest of your madge.

Madonna on the cover of November’s Rolling Stone magazine

15

loft965madonnacover...

Madonna will grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine yet again this November and it will undoubtedly be an expose on her career to give Celebration another boost. The article is called “Madonna Looks Back” and the cover is of her actually looking back. Deep. Anyway, what is up with biceps borrowing pictures of her from the past for the last couple of projects. We know she’s looking like Jocelyn Wildenstein these days, but she could afford a good retoucher. It would have been nice if she went all out and did a great shoot for Rolling Stone. You know, like one with greying hair and her nursing twin babies on each teat with Lady GaGa and Britney Spears’ faces superimposed on them. You know, all publicity is good publicity. She sure knows that. Anyway, where was she during the National Equality March?

Mariah Carey releases album promo, pushes Madonna off dance charts…

We have been listening to it non-stop. Still, Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel is like nothing Mariah has ever release and is sonically very different. The review’ll come out soon. Meanwhile, Mariah has shoved Madonna off of the only place she does well – the Dance charts. “Obsessed” has done very well and climbed atop the dance charts becoming her 15th dance #1. This is probably because the Seamus Haji remix is on fire!

Madonna and Lil’ Wayne’s “Revolver” leaked

Madonna’s second studio track on her tired old compilation of greatest hits Celebration has leaked in full-length. It’s called “Revolver” and it features it-boy rapper Lil’ Wayne. Oh, and it sounds like (and probably is) a Hard Candy reject. Yes, it is that bad! In fact, it’s a contender for worst song of the year. We wish they had Razzies for music. She’d be bagging a few.

Fresh: Video: “Celebration” by Madonna

12

After a myriad of snippets and previews it’s finally here. The video to the tepid Madonna single created to shift sales for her greatest hits compilation released to rid her of her contractual agreement. It’s presented in a remix format as if the original wasn’t house-y enough. It’s an OK song with regular acrobatic Madonna video. What she’s wearing is fab, but the video looks like outtakes from “Give It 2 Me.”

The album wars: Mariah Carey vs. Madonna

mariah-vs-madonna

Mariah Carey has pushed back her album to make room for a second single and now she is going head-to-head with Madonna. Mariah had to postpone Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel to ready up a ballad single and to avoid messing up Whitney Houston’s comeback. Meanwhile, Madonna fans are quick to point out that “Obsessed”  was a flop because it peaked at #11 and didn’t break the top 10 completely omitting the fact that Madonna last three singles didn’t even break the top 50. “Celebration” is currently sitting pretty at glorious and successful #71. Madonna wishes she has an “Obsessed” position. You know she loves commercial success no matter how much she compromises her musical integrity.

Madonna releases promo for Celebration

6

Her promotional video for Celebration is better than the videos for “Get Together,” “Jump” and “Miles Away” combined! She’s gearing up to release her “complete” collection of. Spanning what she thinks is best (or what sold most) of her career. We won’t buy it, but the promo’s fun in a megamix kind of way.

Madonna’s “Celebration” to commemorate her entire career

Picture 2

Apparently, Madonna’s money-milking compilation of greatest shits is not going to be in continuation with The Immaculate Collection and GHV2. It”s going to be a collection spanning her entire blood-sucking career. It’s going to include everything from her first flop “Everybody” to her latest flop “4 Minutes.” That’s probably in keeping with the fact that since GHV2 Madonna doesn’t have enough hits to fill a whole compilation. American Life, Confessions On The Dance Floor and Hard Candy had like 4 hits between them. Ok, maybe 6. The ecstasy-pill renditions to her new single “Celebration” sound blah, but made the radio edit will work out just fine, especially since she ditched her failed attempt at becoming an R&B diva when Mariah quipped that it was “interesting.” Now, “Revolver” that’s a different pile of dunk by itself.

Thank you joetohell for the pic.

Madonna reveals cover for Celebration

Madonnacelebrationcover

In classic Madonna fashion, this cover shows how far the talentless diva is willing to go to capitalize on former victories. Not only is this a greatest hits collection, but the picture for the cover is also an old picture of Madge. To save up, she went back in her photo gallery, put a little eye shadow on it and here it is, the cover. Madonna also changed the name from Iconography to Celebration. Why you ask? To give the single some extra promotion. The title for the single sounds fun, but let’s see what she does with it. Until now, boring effort.
