Cheryl Cole’s malaria worsening!

8 07 2010

According to English newspapers, Cheryl Cole has allegedly been moved to a specialized hospital for the treatment of malaria that she has, also allegedly, contracted while on vacation in Tanzania. When we were in Madagascar we were told that if the symptoms did not subside after 1 day of treatment then the vital organs are in big trouble, which, as bad as it sounds, would mean that Cheryl Cole’s second album that was supposed to be released sometime is August will be postponed. Sad news for the pop world, both on the charts and on the popstrel’s life. Anyway, click here for more about the situation.

Girls Aloud to allegedly continue without Nadine Coyle

29 03 2010

News around the blogosphere today is that Girls Aloud are considering to continue with a new album without the most beautiful one of them all Nadine Coyle. Some rumors have circulated that Nadine has not made her album in time for the “end of 2010″ get together for another Girls Aloud album. But, there is no other evidence. Although Kimberley Walsh has insinuated that Nadine is responsible for the group’s hold up, which was later refuted by Nadine herself via Twitter. Why should the worst voice in the band get to release and album and not the best? Give her some time she is working with William Orbit.

Cheryl Cole scores duet with Black Eyed Peas for World Cup performance

27 03 2010

Once this alleged Ashely Cole divorce is finalized, we recommend that Cheryl Cole get into a relationship with Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas because no one loves her as much as he does. Not only has he completely cultivated her solo career and appeared a couple of times on her album 3 Words, but he also is willing to give her a chance of a lifetime and duet with her in the ceremonial festivities of the World Cup in South Africa. Yes, she’s duetting with BEP even when she can not sing. Fergie might just pull her hair out!

Cheryl Cole demonstrates how horrible her voice really is by covering Owl City’s “Fireflies”

24 03 2010

Seriously, Cheryl Cole just put Madonna in third place and Jennifer Lopez in 2nd place of the worst voices in pop history. She tops the list now and she can’t even pull of “Fireflies.” We’d boo her at karaoke. We wonder how much studio work has gone into her voice to release the album 3 Words. Just horrid!

Cheryl Cole to release “Stand Up” as next single

21 03 2010

We are so glad to tell you that Cheryl Cole (maybe Tweedy by now) is going to release one of the best songs on her album. The track is called “Stand Up” and it spent two weeks on our chart already. It’s a lovely get-up-and-go pre-party song that can really set the mood for some hair-tweezing and lip-glossing. Give it a spin.

Cheryl Cole to open up for the Black Eyes Peas on tour

21 03 2010

Will.I.Am. is in love with Cheryl Cole more than Ashley Cole. He is willing to give her some of his best hits that would have sounded better with Fergie’s voice and now he is taking her on tour around the UK. Yes, Cheryl Cole will open for the Black Eyed Peas following their most successful year ever. Reuters has announced that the Girls Aloud singer will open for the BEP. Also, in more Cheryl Cole news that doesn’t involve infidelity, she reportedly has been offered a good 2.2 million deal to co-judge the American version of the X-Factor with buddy Simon Cowell.

Girls Aloud set to record an album by the end of the year, maybe

21 03 2010

The fabulous fivesome have plans to put together an album by the end of the year. That’s at least the news that is roaming around. But, with Nadine Coyle’s new solo material and Cheryl Cole’s promotion of her album 3 Words in the US it doesn’t seem likely. Also, Sarah Harding recently announced some solo material although she still doesn’t know what genre it will be, which means that the album will probably be a bunch of hand-me-downs from other artists. But, she in inspired by Lady Gaga which can go either way. At any rate, the girls should come together an give us some ruckus fun like they used to.

Cheryl Cole’s marriage is allegedly in shambles

21 02 2010

The Daily Star that footballer’s wife and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole’s marriage is on the rocks because of an alleged infidelity with a blonde girl. Ashely Cole is has been her husband for a while now and, even as the media reports otherwise, they have managed to stick together. But, if they break up, she will change her name to Cheryl Tweedy. Not as smooth, but kinda cool. We love 3 Words by Cheryl Tweedy.

Ingrid Michaelson wrote “Parachute” for Cheryl Cole

20 02 2010

We love Cheryl Cole’s “Parachute” so much that we are calling it 2010′s “Umbrella.” One of our dearest did some research and found out that none other than Ingrid Michaelson co-wrote this song. We are not surprised, it’s a stellar track. It reminds us of the time when we fell in love with Kelly Clarkson’s “Ms. Independent” and then found out that Christina Aguilera wrote it. The single comes out March 15th, 2010. Let’s hope it debuts on top.

Loft965.com headlines Google

18 02 2010

Loft965.com head quarters is proud to announce that today a post headlined a Google topic on blog search. The biggest headline on the matter and it has to do with former Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole owning the show and being better, if we may say, than Lady GaGa during the Brit Awards 2010.

Cheryl Cole performs “Fight For This Love” and “Show Me Love” at Brits

17 02 2010

She really made it big this past year and we couldn’t fathom why. But, now after listening to the album closely we agree. In our view, her performance at the Brits was even better than Lady GaGa’s because the costumes were sexier and the little bit that turned into Robin S’s “Show Me Love” was just an epic win. But, we still thinks it funny that Cheryl Cole had to hire vocalist to do that part! She can’t sing y’all.

Some Hindus angry with Cheryl Cole for goddess portrayal

14 02 2010

Some Hindu group is mad at Cheryl Cole for what they think is a portrayal of the goddess Kali in here new video for “Parachute.” We don’t recall that scene in that video. From what we remember, it was pretty kosher. Anyway, here is the full article from Yahoo Music: “Hindu leaders have taken aim at pop star Cheryl Cole after learning she’ll be portraying Indian goddess Kali in her new video. Reports suggest the singer will be all-blue for the promo of Parachute – and Hindus are far from happy.

Religious scholar Rajan Zed has called for “clarification” from Cole, explaining, “The goddess Kali is highly revered in Hinduism and she’s meant to be worshipped in temples, and not to be duplicated in music videos for publicity stunts or thrown around loosely for dramatic effects.”

Premiere: Video: “Parachute” by Cheryl Cole

31 01 2010

Our #1 song of the week just got the video treatment. We were firstly Cheryl Cole skeptics. Mainly because we thought she was the least talented of Girls Aloud and also because we were routing for Nadine Coyle, but this is very good work. So, we have to admit that her album 3 Words grew on us and we love listening to it during airplane landings (which in our lingo means it’s quite good). This track is one of the best and the video’s all kinds of glam and mystery. We now officially give bathroom-attendant-beater Cheryl Cole the thumbs up!

The typography and design for the campaign of her debut album hasn’t been bad at all. This is quite simple and cute. Now, the music is another thing!

Joe McElderry wins X-Factor

14 12 2009

Joe McElderry is the winner of the sixth series of X-Factor and Cheryl Cole’s second champion. Joe McElderry’s first song in the final, the theme being songs the contestants sang in their audition, was Luther Vandross’s “Dance With My Father,” the song he sung in his audition for the show. His second song of the night, was a duet with George Michael of “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me,” which was a duet with Elton John. His third song was “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word”, which he had sung at the judges houses stage and the eighth live show. During his performances, Dannii Minogue dubbed McElderry a “brilliant performer”, and Simon Cowell said that he is “really special”. McElderry secured his place in Sunday night’s final after winning the public vote alongside Olly Murs. Stacey Solomon narrowly missed out in a place despite giving her most confident performances of the whole series. They both performed the winner’s song “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus in Sunday night’s final. This probably means that this will be his first single. McElderry was backed by Louis Walsh to win the competition.

Cheryl Cole’s “Fight For This Love” debuts at number 1

26 10 2009

Cheryl Cole has finally made it. She has managed to knock her own student on X-Factor, Alexandra Burke, off of the top spot. Cheryl is currently number one on the UK Singles Chart with her debut solo track away from Girls Aloud. “Fight For This Love” is the opener for her solo career and the album 3 Words. The downloads sky-rocketed midweek and she managed to notch up some sexy numbers.

Wait, that’s not it. Cheryl Cole is basking in her success and has recently announced that she wants her own record label and (without the “or”) a fashion line. On top of all of that and X-Factor, she asserted recently that Girls Aloud are still going strong. Do you think she’s at her peak or is it just the beginning. We still are betting on Nadine Coyle to be the gem in the rough.
