Mark Owen from Take That gets married!

Robbie Williams rejoining Take That aside, there’s some other new at that camp. Mark Owen, the original heartthrob, has finally tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend and best friend Emma Ferguson. “The bride wore a long, white, beaded, V-neck 1920s gown and embroidered vintage veil. Her bridesmaids were also in white 1920s-style beaded dresses. Fellow band mates Gary, Howard and Jason flew to Scotland on a 17 seater Lear Jet to attend the festivities. Robbie was said to have been arriving by private jet. Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow were also said to be guests of the couple. Mark and Emma already have two children together, three-year-old Elwood Jack and one-year-old Willow Rose.”

Chris Brown unveils new album cover for “Graffiti”

We don’t usually talk about him much, but since Rihanna was the last post. We will give him airtime just because of her association with him. This cover is so wrong. it’s like a marriage between the sleeve to Prince’s film Graffiti Bridge and Paula Abdul’s video for “Opposites Attract.” What a mess.

Chris Crocker hates Perez Hilton

I don’t get why the world is suddenly all up in calling everyone “Hitler.” Maybe it’s because of the misguided correlation between the new socialism and Hitler. Or maybe because republican are using it as a golden word to scare people from Obama, when, in realty, the closest thing we’ve seen to Hitler since WW II is George W. Bush. Anyway, Chris Crocker’s hits are going down, he needs this drama.

Documentary: Chris Rock’s “Good Hair”

3

This is one documentary that we are bracing to watch. “Good Hair” is a film that challenges the notion of the racial implications of what hair should look like. This has gone on for years on end during and after slavery. It’s a residue of racism that has managed to cling-on while skin color precepts have been at the forefront of racial tensions. Hair is a human feature that has not gotten the same treatment as skin color in a racial context. Now, it not only serves as a benchmark for how far we have gone, but also an indicator of how much more we have to work on to dispel racial myths.

Chris Brown finally apologizes

1

I don’t buy it. This is too little, too late. He thought he could ease on down out of it but it’s not happening. Some of the media might have forgotten what went down exactly and this is the perfect time for the apology, not too far away from the incident yet far enough for people to forget the details. He should have had some jail time, not too long of a sentence, but some jail time. I am against the long jail sentence not because I think his crime was light, but because I believe in a form of humanitarianism that defies the system of extreme incarceration. At any rate, the apology should have been directed at Rihanna and he should have done more doing than talking. Nice top, though.

Conservatives are empty and ashamed

Chris Crocker’s videos are getting banal with time but he is still right-on at times. This is nice little vlog on the usage of the word “conservative.” Really? what are they conserving? The surely want to drill holes everywhere. So, it’s not the environment. The really judge minorities and women. So, it’s not culture or diversity. Morals? Maybe. But. that is just a reflection of their intellect rather than a conservation of something relevant to humanity and it’s progress. The hateful people cover their judgements these days with that term. You want to be a conservative? Conserve human rights, the environment and love.
