So it seems Merry Christmas II You is getting a deluxe version with the Justin Bieber and John Legend duets on it. Not bad for the season, but we’d like a non-seasonal Mariah album real soon. We are glad she is releasing a video soon, but it’s probably not going to be fantastical. Probably just Mariah and John Legend sitting around the Christmas tree (or as we call it – the Pagan tree). What festive surprise does she have for us?

First Listen: “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey & Justin Bieber

As part of an international #Lambily, we have to say that we are very against Mariah Carey releasing another version of this classic, because it has been done and did. Now she did it again, right after her second seasonal album and this time, it’s with Justin Bieber. We think this is the only Mariah Carey track that we won’t be purchasing and/or listening to. It must be really lucrative for business to have every teenager’s heart-throb cover one of your songs, but this is just too much and Mariah doesn’t need it. Click below to give it a listen, but approach with caution!
Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber to duet on christmas song!

Mariah Carey maybe the queen of the season, but here she is the queen of everything. Rumor is out that Mariah Carey is going to duet with teeny-bopper Justin Bieber on yet another christmas song. As if that wasn’t enough seasonal material from Mariah. We don’t see how this duet can go, but even her duet with Tony Bennett has a feeling of Yuletide. But, wait, we smell another number one and that makes us mucho happy!
Legendary: “O Holy Night” by Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey is the Christmas lady and this is one of the tracks she did not in promotion of Merry Christmas or Merry Christmas II You, but during her recovery after her much-publicized breakdown post-Glitter. Her delivery is perfect.
Diane Birch releases covers EP
1We discovered Diane Birch serendipitously and fell in love with her. So, when we heard she was to release a covers album of some 80s and 90s classics, we were ready to jump on it. It’s downloading as of now on iTunes, so there will be no review for now, but we are sure it will be lovely.
Sexy Track: “When Christmas Comes” by Mariah Carey
3When we first heard that Mariah Carey was doing a Christmas album we cringed, why? We had never heard of a sophomore Christmas album by a pop artist to do well. What we forgot is Mariah Carey is probably the best artist on earth today to cater to that seasonal niche. Merry Christmas II You delivered strong vocals and festive numbers. The strongest of which is not a folkloric covers, but a song she wrote herself specifically for this album. “When Christmas Comes” follows in the same soul sub-genre of a little-known track Mariah did for her Charmbracelet album titled “Subtle Invitation,” which was also a standout. It fuses elements of soul, gospel, pop and balladry into one, making for a confection that only Mariah could come up with – perfect.
Mariah Carey’s next single will be “When Christmas Comes”

Mariah Carey’s “Oh Santa!” didn’t really climb the charts like “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” but she is already on her second single and we are glad she is releasing more. Not that we have listened to the album Merry Christmas II You, as we have been very bad lambs! But a new video would be splendid.
Must Watch: Video Premiere: “Oh Santa!” by Mariah Carey
1The video for the first single of Mariah Carey‘s second seasonal album Merry Christmas II You is here. “Oh Santa” is the extra festive new single from Mariah Carey’s Christmas album. She shamelessly plugs in her Lollipop Bling scents first and takes the course of her mega hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” in the video’s direction.
Mariah Carey’s “Merry Christmas II You” has leaked!
23Yes, Mariah Carey‘s second seasonal album Merry Christmas II You has leaked just before Halloween. Coincidence, we think not. Anyway, it’s done the blog rounds and people are downloading it like wildfire. The album was set for a November 2nd release. Click here to be forwarded to another blog to investigate the leak that we are not responsible for.
Mariah Carey says “Merry Christmas II You” in September!
The beat on that background track sound like a hoot, let’s hope it’s a cut from the album Merry Christmas II You. Also, how funny is the fact that Mariah Carey splurged for the studio to look Christmasy for an album recorded in the Northern Hemisphere summer season!
Official cover art for Mariah Carey’s “Merry Christmas II You”
4We never thought we would see the day that the worst album sleeve of the year, up until now, would be our one and only Mariah Carey‘s. This is the ugliest shit we have seen in a while. She must be crazy to approve this artwork. We weren’t too excited for this project but now we are kind of offended that this is the best visual she could give us for Merry Christmas II You. Sad.
