Cocknbullkid was supposed to be working hard on her upcoming sophomore album after she made some waves with Adulthood. But, she has all these tracks under her belt and felt it right to give it our to all of us at once. This is totally out of the Scissor Sisters’ ballpark, but it is a little jumpy. Not our cup of tea really, although we love when Jake Shears’ vocals come in. But, we don’t like the direction nor do we think the band should continue this way. Let’s hope the new album packs a punch with some premium glam rock and alternative twists, like we are used to.

For some reason Mariah Carey decided to releases this just two weeks before the occasion. We had thought the she was going to leave it for the re-release of her album Merry Christmas II You in 2012. However, we are going to be very angry lambs if new non-seasonal material appears next year. Yes, we said it.
We really haven’t been watching the show, but we are glad a girl band won. We need as many girl bands on earth as possible, they only bring more and more joy. Let’s hope they produce so premium pop for the coming years. Starting off with a ballad, though – a no-no!
So it seems Merry Christmas II You is getting a deluxe version with the Justin Bieber and John Legend duets on it. Not bad for the season, but we’d like a non-seasonal Mariah album real soon. We are glad she is releasing a video soon, but it’s probably not going to be fantastical. Probably just Mariah and John Legend sitting around the Christmas tree (or as we call it – the Pagan tree). What festive surprise does she have for us?
Little did we know that the head diva was going to market her last album Merry Christmas II You once again this year post-delivery. It’s also a great treat to know that our favorite song on the album “When Christmas Comes” is getting a release with John Legend. It’s a throwback original Mariah song with a lot of soul for the season. It would be great if this song got an extra festive video. As part of an international #Lambily, we have to say that we are very against Mariah Carey releasing another version of this classic, because it has been done and did. Now she did it again, right after her second seasonal album and this time, it’s with Justin Bieber. We think this is the only Mariah Carey track that we won’t be purchasing and/or listening to. It must be really lucrative for business to have every teenager’s heart-throb cover one of your songs, but this is just too much and Mariah doesn’t need it. It’s good to hear some fresh music news from Mariah Carey other than that millionth version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” with Justin Beiber. What a mess. Anyway, Big Jim Wright and Randy Jackson are working on new tracks for Mariah. This is exciting news, but let’s face it. We won’t see this album until at least mid-2012. Check the below tweets!

Mariah Carey maybe the queen of the season, but here she is the queen of everything. Rumor is out that Mariah Carey is going to duet with teeny-bopper Justin Bieber on yet another christmas song. As if that wasn’t enough seasonal material from Mariah. We don’t see how this duet can go, but even her duet with Tony Bennett has a feeling of Yuletide. But, wait, we smell another number one and that makes us mucho happy!
We think Ingrid Michaelson re-did a video for this song for the US release.
A lovely little ditty from an album that wasn’t given the deserved appreciation. We are still waiting for a video for “Hormones.”
Congratulations to legend Elton John and his partner in marriage David Furnish for finally welcoming home a child of their own. The couple have been wanting to have a child for a while now but have been dogged by homophobia in Ukraine from adopting a child. At any rate, the “miracle” baby is here just in time for thh holidays. Cheers to the two dads!
So, we have gotten our mittened hands on a bunch of Joni Mitchell albums that we hadn’t heard completely and we spent a whole 24 hours reading up on her, watching her interviews and listening to her sweet sweet voice. You know we like our music with a little social commentary. And, we are glad we back-catalogued Joni Mitchell, she is a fine singer-songwriter and this song from her epic album Blue showcases that.
