This was brought to our attention first by a very local and very lowbrow party that we attended on a whim, then our friend on Twitter posted it in an unrelated instance for its kitsch value. We have to say it’s a very catchy euro-trashy take on Caribbean beats. And, also, the chorus is horribly unforgettable and unforgettably horrible. Good combination. Yes, we are slaves to the 1990s’, who isn’t?

Sting’s daughter is on her second single after her first on, a collaboration with Robyn, tanked a bit. This is neither here nor their, she needs more to get somewhere.

1This is supposed to be an “Introducing…” post but, we had to put Robyn in the headlines as we miss her badly. I Blame Coco is one of the bands touted to take over 2010 like Florence did 2009. Coco is the daughter of Sting and Trudie Styler. She has signed to Island Records and this is her debut video. Coco recorded the album in Sweden and there’s a bunch of Swedish influence on it. First, there’s the one and only Robyn on this track giving it a facelift. Also, Swedish band Miike Snow is rumored to make an appearance of her album. This song is promising, but a bit too post-riot grrl for us. Maybe the album has more in store for us.
