“Red is obviously such a stimulating color, and it has so many connotations.”
- P.J. Harvey
Check out these rainbow shades that one can fill with ink to change the color. Aren’t they rad, as Lindsay would say?
This one slipped under the radar for us. We just found out today that Joss Stone has released a new album (on the date of release). Not sure why it didn’t receive enough publicity or promo, but we knew it had to do with the record company. It turns out that there was some industry mud-slinging. Her record label has been obtained my an equity firm and Joss Stone does not like that at all. So the album got delayed and shelved. Then when it came time to release it there was no video and very little promo (mostly word-of-mouth and blog frenzy). But, its available for download now and the album cover has been changed with one with no image and just text. Apparently, the record company didn’t want Joss Stone to be enslaved on the cover.
We miss India.Arie and we want her to get back to writing great poignant songs like this one, even if the topic is not really interesting to us. At any rate, her next album better be fly because Testimony: Vol. 2 Love & Politics was a sad excuse for one.
I always thought they used a spraying technique or something more advanced. Still, I know it must have been a cruel process. They always turn white when they grow up anyway and that’s when youngsters lose interest. I am surprised they never did it to ducklings. Maybe their tiny feathers are water resistant?
Fred Perry has revisited the plimsole and gave it some well-needed color. Check it.
