Bring Janet Jackson to Dubai!

Some good folks over here are starting a campaign to bring Miss Janet Jackson to Dubai. If this happens, it will be the first time Janet Jackson comes to Dubai. Considering that her new boyfriend is from Qatar and she hasn’t treaded here, it’s not a far stretch as it is listed in the drop-down menu of her site. It would be great if she did come here as this could be her last tour and, as you might know, we are huge Damita Jo fans since our childhoods and would love to see her and review her. We have seen her live before on the Velvet Rope Tour and it was just stellar.

Natalie Imbruglia dropped from record label!

News just in. Allegedly, Natalie Imbruglia has been dropped from Island/Universal records after her latest album Come To Life failed make a dent on the charts. Plans to release her third single “Scars” has also been scrapped. This means the physical UK release of the album probably will not make it, which makes the album, although released digitally, a non-charting album! Now, that’s sad!

Destiny’s Child to reunite in 2010

Destinys+ChildMichelle Williams has just informed the world that Destiny’s Child are set to reunite for 2010. This is not because Beyonce misses the good old days of pulling Kelly Rowland’s hair out. It’s due to the fact that they are contractually obliged to put out another offering with Sony. There destiny, apparently, was not fulfilled. Beyonce has to slave back to the studio with those two girls and do an album.

Picture 2

Us Janet Jackson fans awoke today to a great surprise. The star’s often-stagnant site has gotten a complete revamp. Not only that, but there has been news that Ms. Jackson is going to release an album early 2010. That’s close, especially considering the fact that she has been hard at work doing the sequel to Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married and her brother untimely death. She must be hard at work following her split with Jermaine Dupri. We hope her reunion with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis will prove fruitful. Can’t wait!

Exclusive: Video: “Wild About It” by Natalie Imbruglia

We are very excited to catch the new Natalie Imbruglia the second it came out. The number of views is in the 2 digits and we already love the song. She is newly-independent and ready to reclaim her glory. She has disappeared for a while to record Come To Life, which is set for the third quarter release. The song is a little quieter than we expect from the “Torn” singer, but it’s a grower and is probably only a snippet of what’s to come on her highly-anticipated upcoming album.

Update: this is not the first single, it’s just a teaser. The official first single will be released in September and it will be called “Want.” Also, as we stated, the album is slated for an October 5th release. Excited!
