The queen of comedy, Margaret Cho, took some inspiration for her humorous song “Lice” from Bob Dylan. It’s a funny little video and the song is quiet a strong folk song had it not be for the slapstick. Her voice is not bad at all on this one.

These are two clips from Margaret Cho’s 5th stand-up comedy DVD titled Beautiful. It has taken a while for Margaret to put out a DVD since Assassin. And it’s her first in with democratic administration in office. So, the DVD’s going to be a little different with the usual great mixture of preachiness and laughs.

Borat is now Brüno

Don’t know whether to cheer or jeer this. A part of me feels like it might be a great flick that will expose the world to the absurdity of pigeonholing people and another part is afraid that it might end up being a cesspit of stereotyping that will me a laughingstock out of a minority. But, I do remember feeling, that in Borat, the people who turned out to be the laughed-at where not the two Kazakh characters, but the other people in the movie. Well, in some cases.

“I’ve got a new show starting at Largo, in Los Angeles, on January 27 and February 24. It’s called “Fingerbang” and it’s totally exciting and new and different. Essentially, the show format is a lot like “Hee Haw,” which was this awesome country comedy variety show from the 70s that I used to watch. It combined really stupid hick comedy with country music, with people jumping up out of cornfields to tell even cornier jokes. “Fingerbang” will be similar, but not as corny and not as country.
