Again: Music For February: Huesome

2

Some compilations are to please others and some are to please us. This one’s to please both. It’s February and the winter’s getting ready to say bye, this, taken into consideration, has given birth to a mixture of flavors that appear on this compilation. It has its loud beats, but also its simmering slow numbers. Another one of those compilations that caters to everyone. Although it encapsulates many different genres, only the tracks that get our approval were allowed onto the disc. Huesome meanders into all nuanced genres we visit fairly often here.  Many of our favorite tracks made it on this one, so be sure to give each song a spin. Now, enjoy.

Again: Music For December: Yoyode

3

To close off the year with a bang or two, we introduce to you Yoyode. The new compilation that will bring you some hefty hits, cathartic end-of-year tracks and new sounds for the future. Now over-looming concept here just the tracks that can usher in a new year without making it blatantly timely or too ceremonial. The numbers range from big hits from household names, to track we had to dig real deep to find. It starts of with a lovely instrumental notes and then takes twists and turns that will hopefully be to your liking. Enjoy bringing in the new year with this one!

Exclusive: Music For Summer: Splashine 2

6

Summer is here and so is one of your favorite compilations. Last year’s Splashine had much acclaim that we insisted on making it an annual offering. The concept and mindset behind this one is exactly the same as the first but, of course, with new tracks and artists. The album is perfect for tanning on the beach or while having a sunny vacation. The majority of artists on it are not too popular, but a few far away favorites and gems are thrown in there for the balance. Take a dip, lay on the beach and put in Splashine 2. Enjoy!

Again: Music For June: Bitchology PT2

7

In case you didn’t notice, summer is officially here (if you are in the Northern Hemisphere). In celebration we are continuing the legacy of dancing through the white heat with beats that will tickle your feet until you join in. Again, this is one of those straight up pop compilations that will make you all fuzzy inside until it gets overplayed on radio and then you reminisce on how good you felt when the song was fresh, or something like that. We guarantee that this will make you dance. If not, return it back in 30 days. Restrictions apply.

Again: Music For February: Disconia

9

Disconia is pretty direct. It wants you to dance and dance good. It’s a great compilation to get you up and going. The music in it is meant to invigorate, yet rejuvenate. A transitional record that looks on to optimism with all the colors of the world. It’s filled with all the grand pop singles, many remixed tracks and some hidden gems here and there. 20 tracks, no qualms, just angulations. It’s also dedicated to a very special person in my life.

Again: Music For January: Anewka

3

It’s a new year and there’s a new concept. Compilations, at least for the remainder of 2011, will include some concept-pertaining interludes and will, if we wish to continue, be divided into genre-specific sections. This aside, Anewka is the fresh start to this series that will keep you amped throughout the year. The compilation has a bunch of different genres that are all pertinent – many new artists, some big names and two old tracks. There’s something for everyone there and we would be surprised if you didn’t find something to your liking. Of course, the ever-so-phenomenal Kookie who is also featured in the interludes. Love and music!

Again: Music For December: Hardon

3

After a bunch of lowtempo compilations that included the sequel to the ever-so-popular Laxicover and the dark Sullene, we decided to go with a last shout out for the end of 2010. Hardon is a mixture of playful uppity dance tracks, ready-to-be singles and is sealed off with a signature bit of melancholy with sad little lullabies that will make you fuzzy all over. We are planning and overhaul for the compilations this next year and we have a bunch of ideas up our sleeves. It would help if you give us some feedback on both this compilation and the continuity of the consecutive offerings. We hope you like this boost at the end of the year and we look forward to filling your lives with lush music in the future.

Again: Music For Winter: Laxicover II

6

Due to popular demand, Laxicover has gotten a sequel. Yes, the most downloaded compilation was supposed to be one-off but it’s back for another run. Are you ready for some smooth laying beats? Perhaps a chunk of bossa nova? Well, Laxicover II is probably the only compilation that you will enjoy thoroughly and know all the lyrics to at the same time. We went for an even softer sound this time and we can’t stop listening to it. Also, we incorporated more hairy legs for you this time. Enjoy it as you did the last one and, as always, feedback (or a thank you) is great.

Again: Music for October: Bichotomy

2

Yes, we know we are a bit late, but we are in New York City and having a little too much fun, but it didn”t stop us from doing one of the things we do best and that is compiling some fresh beats for you. October is usually a sombre, down and lowtempo month, but this is an exception. No Glumella here for you, this is another offering of upbeat jumpy tracks that will make you feel summer’s still here. We ended it up with a myriad of tracks that we can’t resist not offering, so here it goes. The title is a play on the word “dichotomy” and “bimorphemic” as most tunes on this one have no melodic-genre relation but are placed next to each other. We hope you like Bichotomy. Click away.

Again: Music For September: Decithon

5

This time around, we are on the cusp of autumn (if you are in the Northern Hemisphere), so we decided to have the last blast as partying is our creed, nowadays. At any rate, the concept behind this stomper is simple. We wanted to create a marathon of song that require a high decibel to be appreciated. Hence, Decithon. It’s not for the faint-hearted. It’s made with feet angst in mind. So, put on your dance shoes and dance the blues.

Again: Music For August: Prancina!

13

It’s that time of the month again and boy, do we have mood swings. Ok, we are talking about something else. But, in keeping with all things summer as we are having a good one, this one is in celebration of the sun really like its predecessors. Some great gay pop beats and a bunch of singles and some new talents that we discovered along the way. Its really an average compilation or regulars, newbies and a vintage one. We hope you like it as we have been listening to it non-stop. Yes, we put a picture of ourselves on it not purely out of narcissistic needs but also because we feel a great sense of accomplishment this month. Enjoy and feed us back.

Again: Music For July: Hodgepodger

3

This one was hastily done, hence the name Hodgepodger. It has no concept and is merely a disorganized and topsy-turvy pile of gems. It’s all over the place, but it has some solid beats that can set your summer on the right course. The track list is unorganized intentionally to correlate with the theme of the compilation.

Again: Music For June: Bitchology PT1

5

High off of the heels of our most-downloaded compilation of the year, Splashine, and its woozy predecessor Woebego, we give you this offering of pop that will define your summer’s theme. There are a bunch of bitches out there with strong singles out, so we opted for a time-pertinent overtly-sugary pop compilation for all the songs that you won’t be able to escape this summer. It’s straight forward numbers ready for radio that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and then (might) become the most disposable thing ever. But, for the time being you will enjoy this no-qualms diva dictatorship.

Again: Music For Summer: Splashine

8

Summer moved in. Time to splash and shine. This little compilation is a one-off album for the start of summer. It is a synopsis of a playlist we had laying around our iPod for ages that we usually play first thing in the morning when we start the party in South Bnaider Beach. It has a naked beat to it. It’s the kind of record that you can play and dance your feet of to at high volumes, but can also be great background Martini music at low volumes. The album starts off at sunrise  and ends at sunset. You see, it’s a concept sonical journey through one great summer’s day. We hope you like this burst of energy and sunshine. Enjoy Splashine!

Exclusive: Music For May: Woebego

4

After a couple of happy-go-lucky pop compilations comes this dreary and drab mellow one. Although it concentrates on the melancholy it does incorporate many genres from folk to organic pop to black electronica to mood food. It’s more a feeling than a sound. It carries some gems we couldn’t live without during our hectic volunteer work trip in Madagascar. It’s called Woebego as it is a play on the word “woebegone” and it sound tribal. Now, we’re off to a random impromptu Hong Kong trip. Enjoy it and give us some feedback, these compilations don’t come often, if there is demand of the dreary, we will represent. By the way, this is the first time we hand the sleeve’s creative control to someone else. Thank you, JS.

Again: Music For April: 6aypril

2

Another year, another April and those who know a thing or two about my compilations they know this is time for a celebration. It’s hard to believe that this is the 6th anniversary of the compilations that made this possible. Gaypril came about as a robust dance offering of unapologetic pop beats. It was so successful that it sparked an idea. Not that I didn’t do compilations before these six years, but after that they were less sporadic and more structured. This one is another pop mainstream and eclectic mix. This is the fourth in a row, which means we are popped out but we are trying to keep with the month’s traditional theme. But, this means the next compilation will be one the we love listening to incorporating drab with folk with all the melancholy in the world. But, for now enjoy hip-shaking fun.

Again: Music For February: Blipittyblop

10

Yes, it’s here. We were a little bit late but we perfected a concept compilation. This one is an ode to electronic beats, both loud and small. Lush and serene. It concentrates on the blip and the blop. Some tracks will be familiar and mainstream, others obscure gems. It contains some artists we can’t live without, others we just discovered and tracks that have been sitting around in our most played section for a bit. We hope you like.

Again: Music for January: Ampitup

3

We are three days late but everyone’s been super busy nursing a hangover and if you aren’t, get one now. At any rate, this is our first offering for the new decade. 2010 starts with a burst of eclectic dance beats and some hardcore pop debauchery. This is not one with a concept, but more of celebratory fan mix of get-up-and-go sounds to start off the year with a boom of sorts. We hope you like it and as always, feedback, wherever sent, is our fuel.
