Video: “Caesar” by I Blame Coco featuring Robyn

This is supposed to be an “Introducing…” post but, we had to put Robyn in the headlines as we miss her badly. I Blame Coco is one of the bands touted to take over 2010 like Florence did 2009. Coco is the daughter of Sting and Trudie Styler. She has signed to Island Records and this is her debut video. Coco recorded the album in Sweden and there’s a bunch of Swedish influence on it. First, there’s the one and only Robyn on this track giving it a facelift. Also, Swedish band Miike Snow is rumored to make an appearance of her album. This song is promising, but a bit too post-riot grrl for us. Maybe the album has more in store for us.

Is this a sign of a new album? Brandy Norwood debuted her new shortened and very mommy look on Twitter today via Twitpic. It doesn’t look so good. But, maybe she has something up her sleeve with such a drastic makeover. She looks like her nemesis Monica now.

There have been two tracks leaked recently and she has a new record label. So, a new album might come up from her very soon. We hope so, at least.

Melody Thornton reveals Pussycat Dolls fight at concert

There have been numerous speculations about an internal Pussycat Dolls fight for a while now. Ever since Nicole Scherzinger opted to leave the group prematurely only to see her solo career suffer blow after blow. Add that to mediocre album sales and a sophomore slump that even a deluxe addition can’t rescue.

Now, Melody Thornton, the one with the voice and a whole lotta presence, has made it loud and clear that Nicole has overstepped her bounds. Watch the video at 0:28 secs when Melody says “Thank you for supporting me even though I am not featured.” Right in front of spotlight-hogging Nicole and the red headed doll agrees. Pheonix didn’t know that was coming.
