It turns out that the track everyone thought was from Roisin Murphy’s new record is actually a feature for producer Mason. This is the video for it and it looks like it hopes to be a summer dance hit.
We have to say we are very fond of Omar Afuni’s debut album Resurrected. It is a great mix of pop-conscious beats and dance anthems. It’s very much worth the download and is completely free for now! So head over to Omar Afuni’s official website and download it now!
We have scoured the web to find a biography of Nick Pes, one of our latest muses, and all that could find is a small introductory paragraphy. What you need to know is that he is the latest Aussie export to usher in some more glamazon-electro beats that will definitely make you dance. Now, here’s that little synopsis: “Since the disbandment of ‘Leechwife’, the rock outfit he once wrote and performed with, Nick began experimenting with music he could make by himself. A couple years later and Nick’s exploration into electronic music has lead to the creation of a number of electronic slash pop slash dance slash genre-less tracks. He sounds a little bit like this, a little bit like that and a little bit like something you’ve never heard before. The Cinaesthesia EP was released in September 2010.”
Disconia is pretty direct. It wants you to dance and dance good. It’s a great compilation to get you up and going. The music in it is meant to invigorate, yet rejuvenate. A transitional record that looks on to optimism with all the colors of the world. It’s filled with all the grand pop singles, many remixed tracks and some hidden gems here and there. 20 tracks, no qualms, just angulations. It’s also dedicated to a very special person in my life.
The former Sugababes back for a tiny bit, no word on her sophomore album, but this is a collaboration that she has worked on.
“The plan is to keep going and recording shorter albums so that I can keep my touring and my recording processes equal,” Robyn, whose single “Dancing On My Own” was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording, tells Billboard.com. “I just want to keep a flow, just stay inspired and keep working, and it feels like it’s possible with this way of working. I wasn’t sure in the beginning if people would get it, but they did, which is really cool. I’m touring a lot more than I thought I would, so I’m very happy about how I’ve been able to connect to my audience.”
Here it go: “I didn’t necessarily have pressure with this — it was more excitement. I haven’t been with Britney in five years on a project, so it was excitement to be back with her. It was excitement to get her dancing really hard again ’cause she’s had a couple of years where she’s been dancing different styles of dance and it hasn’t been me. It’s not necessarily that she hasn’t been dancing, it hasn’t been what I get from her, and what I seem to get from her is this tigress quality. And she prowls. She really dominates when she does my choreography, and that’s what I wanted to get back. Excited yes, scared no. I can tell you that Britney is wearing a couple of hats in this video — not literal hats, but she’s playing roles in this video. That is what I can give you. In every role, she is dancing. She is going to be dancing throughout the whole video. Like I said: Dance is the focal point of this video. She’s taking fashion risks. Things we’ve never seen her wear before she’s wearing in this video, and I think it’s just very sexy and it’s a little bit playful. She’s going to be doing something in this video that we’ve never seen her do. I’m not gonna tell you what that is but she’s going to be sweating and she’s going to be getting bruised and battered.”
“Those who danced were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music “
This is going to be Clare Maguire’s year and this is one of the singles that’s going to help facilitate that. It’s an ode to the King of Pop Michael Jackson and will be on Clare’s debut coming out soon. Watch this space for more Clare news.
Back and forth, that is.
The prolonged summer that we’ve had forced us into releasing a chain of compilations that have been up and pop. But, we truly are softies at heart. We enjoy a great pop song or a loud dance number, but in reality, nothing tickles our fancy more than some sombre low-profile tunes from the likes of these artist features of Sullene. The name sprung from trying to make a pretty noun from the word “Sullen.” It’s the right record to usher in your winter with style and gloomy satisfaction. This one concentrates on the intimate, acoustic and some unsung heroes of the scenes. Something tells us that this one will get us feedback from both ends of the spectrum. For our own sanity, we have to release something now and then that we love listening to.
The direction Rihanna is taking on this album, LOUD, is the right one unlike her mishap Rated R. We are glad she is back on track a playing more with some dance beats. Let’s hope the album has more hot numbers. Continue reading
The big hat of music is back. Acid Jazz is in due time of some reviving. This is the artwork to the awaited new album from soul-dance connoisseurs Jamiroquai. Excited to hear it.
