It’s the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, #fotw
It’s only been two decades since the jeers of the Berlin Wall falling occured targetting the reunification of modern-day Germany and causing a domino effect in the Eastern Bloc states from soviet shackles. It seems that 20 years is a lot of time for change. In it, Germany went from a fragmented country to a world power, again. This time more on an economic basis and less on military capabilities. And ever since, Eastern states like Poland and the Czech Republic rid themselves of oppression and misguided communism. At any rate, it’s a good to celebrate. A foundation has opted to write any tweet one precedes with “#fotw” on the wall. Ask for other walls to fall. Like the West Bank Barrier or other borders that limit and steal freedoms from people.

Seriously again! Twitter is acting up. If they are aiming to take over the social network world they need to fix this. We are sick and tired of trying to log on and seeing that whale being carried by a bunch of tweety birds. Kyogoi blog shuts down for good…
One of the greatest alternative music blogs online has ended its reign. The lovely Kyogoi on blogspot has shut down with a post that reads “The End” with a Hooverphonic live performance. It was a great blog filled with album covers, new bands, latest videos and, yes, a chunk of illegal downloads. No reason was given for the shutdown.

Oh, this is a very good day for us. Just before we decided to leave, we found out that Mariah’s album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel has leaked in it’s entirety, in full quality. Yes, the day is here. It’s nice out, too. The album’s supposed to land next week. Mariah releases rarely leak. But, I guess someone got a hold of it. We pre-ordered many copies of it (it’s a ritual we do every time this happens) but we are still happy to get it.

It’s amazing what a little tweet can do. Mariah Carey just announced, to many people’s amazement, that the first single off of her upcoming album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Princess is called “Obsessed” and will be released this tuesday. This is how the tweet went:
“The 1st single from my new album “Memoirs of an imperfect angel” is called “Obsessed” and will be at radio next tuesday. I’m a lil’ excited!”
The album was slated for a late September release, but that was tentative and almost every Mariah album has been pushed back before. So, to have the single hit radio (and the blogosphere inevitably) this early was somewhat of a surprise. Who knows? Maybe she is trying to give Whitney Houston a break and not release the album at the same time or maybe she is just so happy with the product that it is ready for a release. Sudden releases are good because they make a bigger impact.

Haven’t gotten around to download the latest offering from the last punk band standing, but Greenday’s 21st Century Breakdown is getting all kinds of sexy rave reviews and, frankly, they can’t go wrong. In Greenday fashion, it’s sectioned off to nice bits and themes. Will get back to you on the review.

Yes, it has happened. A Malawian court decided that Madonna can not and will not adopt the child even though she is pumping millions into the country. Ah, the victory. Maybe she should adopt a psychoanalyst to fix herself. I feel bad for Mercy because I feel she could have had a better life. Here’s more:

I was on Oman Air’s website recently to book a ticket and I found this. Yes, there is an option for a “Master” in the prefix drop down menu. Basically you get all the regular ones and “Master.” How progressive of them. Does anyone know if this is a mistake or not?
