5Uffie releases official album cover and track listing for “Sex, Dreams & Denim Jeans”
This has been a long time coming. Uffie has be promoting herself with EP abound for half a decade now. With collaborations like the one with Pharrell and comparisons to Ke$ha, the French damsel has given a date to the release of her first full-length album titled Sex, Dreams & Denim Jeans. The release will be at the end of May and the beginning of June for the US. Click below for the track listing. We first featured “Pop The Glock” back in the summer of 2006!

One of our favorites of this year, Beach House, have put out a video for one of the best songs of their album Teen Dream. “Silver Soul” is a woozy little number with all the experimental melodrama one can ingest. Lovely. Beach House had videos created for each track off their Sub Pop album. This video for “Silver Soul” was directed by Beach House’s singer, Victoria Legrand.

We just can’t get this song out of our heads and even if this might not be the official video for the song from Beach House’s Teen Dream, we can’t spare not sharing it with everyone. We have never seen such an arrangement, at first it might sound too experimental, but that is only because this sonic presentation has never been heard before. We have high hopes for this band in 2010.

Premiere: Video: “One Dream” by Sarah McLachlan
2010 is going to be Sarah McLachlan’s year. Not only does she have a new album ready (which this single is a cut off of), but she is also about to relaunch her monumental Lilith Fair tour. “One Dream” is a contending theme song for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. It’s your run-of-the-mill Sarah number. But, hey, if it ain’t broke why fix it? The album is yet to be titled and is probably slated for a summer release.

This is a cut off of their eagerly-awaited and newly-leaked album Teen Dream. It’s already touted to be one of the best album of the new year.
Solange does Zero 7 and SiA’s “Destiny”
1What a pleasant surprise. I didn’t think she had it in her, and she did a good job. She should make it a b-side. Solange is really doing all she can to support her album. It is a good album, after all.

1Something Else is clearly an effort to reckon with. The album continues to impress. This was the first song to catch my hear. These days I am stuck on “Ms. Harmony.” Just plain sexy.

Introducing… Erin McCarley
Love, Save The Empty is Erin McCarley’s debut album and it is a mixture of pompous folk and moody rock. It is like a cross between Sheryl Crow, KT Tunstall and Chantal Kreviazuk. My current favorites are “Blue Suitcase” and “Sticky Sweet.” I watched he perform live on David Letterman and she was great. I am looking forward to listening more.
