This time around, we are on the cusp of autumn (if you are in the Northern Hemisphere), so we decided to have the last blast as partying is our creed, nowadays. At any rate, the concept behind this stomper is simple. We wanted to create a marathon of song that require a high decibel to be appreciated. Hence, Decithon. It’s not for the faint-hearted. It’s made with feet angst in mind. So, put on your dance shoes and dance the blues.

Michael Jackson will be commemorated with the first 3D telecast of an awards show in history. The Grammy Awards will show a video clip of “Earth Song” that was intended for the This Is It tour but was never screened. Alongside the clip big name stars like Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson and Usher will be singing. Michael Jackson was asked to appear on the show for the 25th anniversary of Thriller but declined. 7.4 earthquake hits Indonesia, fear of tsunami
1An earthquake has hit the Indonesia islands just now. It is reported to have the magnitude of 7.4 on the scale. The quake hit the capital Jakarta. There are some fatalities reported. Many experts say this may result in a powerful tsunami. Will keep you posted. The above footage is of the tsunami that happened a couple of years ago on Thailand’s coast (of many).
Did MIKA steal from Belinda Carslile?

I have been hesitant to report on MIKA latest effort because I felt like the song was all kinds of wonderful turd. There’s just too much going on and the chorus doesn’t sync well. Also, it brings back the memory of the Go-Go’s. Now, as I listen to a the song with the a friend he pointed out the similarity between “We Are Golden” and “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” by Belinda Carslile. The chorus sounds melodically exact and there is no writing credit on the song. It sounds too close for comfort. And, he has a sampling history. By “sampling,” I mean taking the whole song and it’s melody then changing the lyrics around and making it his. He did it with “Relax (Take It Easy)” and totally mangled Cutting Crew’s “(I Just) Died In Your Arms.” All-in-all, I’d be surprised if We Are Golden survived the sophomore slump. As the world stays wide alert about this epidemic that is responsible for killing 50 a century ago and hopes it will not turn into a pandemic, the non-sensical conservatives are at it again. On one side the American conservatives are touting stricter border control regulations and a crackdown on immigration to curb this epidemic which has allegedly spread from Mexico. One the other, the islamist fundamentalists, beardists, fanatics or whatever you want to call them these days, are glorifying it as some sign from the heavens that pork is all kinds of evil.

Earth day came and went. What are people to celebrated. The dilapidated state of this bubble we live in? It’s not that important. Humans have always depended on this planet to sustain their living without even considering the outcome. So, now it’s culturally intrinsic for humans to exploit the earth and its good. It’s culturally unacceptable for a married couple to get married with having children. Like it’s a prerequisite to a complete life. Just like David Attenborough claimed, the biggest issue we have at hand right now is over population. It seems like every couple with a vagina and penis seem hard pressed to make more babies, like it was there biological right.
Earth Hour goes by like any hour

No year was as prominent as this year when it comes to Earth Hour. We did the usual and shut the lights of in unity with the environment, even though I am ever so skeptical about the whole thing. I feel like its more symbolism than anything pertinent to the issue of global warming. I mean, if a couple of tree huggers shut the lights off (which is a miniscule part of the whole house’s energy) nothing will really happen. There are other methods to energy conservation, like taxing energy higher and uses the taxes for the betterment of the environment, but, of course, talking like this will raise the socialism flag and that doesn’t sit well with the suits. In any case, I look forward to the statistics this Earth Hour will bring forth.
