Download: Erykah Badu’s “Window Seat” leaked, album cancelled?

1

Erykah Badu has previously vowed not to release the album should anything after her collaboration with Lil Wayne “Jump Up In The Air And Stay There” leaks. Now the first single, which saw the arrival of its artwork to the blogosphere recently, has leaked in its full quality all over the internet. We hope that Erykah Badu releases New Amerykah, Part 2: The Return Of The Ankh and doesn’t forbid us from some smooth sultry beats.

Download it here.

Update: Good news. Erykah Badu leaked it herself on her twitter account. So, the album’s still coming. And, it’s a guilt-free fully legal download.

New Amerykah, Part 2: The Return Of The Ankh has taken a long time to suffice. So, this promo poster makes our hearts smile a little because we know we are about to experience another chapter in the neosoul book of life. Let’s all hope she doesn’t cancel it if it leaks as she said before.

Toni Braxton album “Pulse” pushed back, again!

This has got to be the day of push-backs. After we learned that Erykah Badu is still on her haitus, this comes in. Toni Braxton’s six full-length album Pulse has been pushed back from an early 2010 release to May. This sucks for all fans and people who have been waiting. But, frankly there have been enough Braxton leaked tracks recently to fill up an album or two. This push back is probably due to the fact that her single “Yesterday” didn’t do so well and another single is in the works. Let’s hope it gets out this year.

Erykah Badu sets date for “Return Of The Ankh”

The queen of hiatuses has finally laid off the ganja for a hot minute to finalize the release date of her 6th efforts and second installation of her New Amerykah serious. New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ankh is now set to be released February 23rd, 2010. This is what Erykah Bady had to say about this: “I called it Part II: The Return of the Ankh because this album is the sister of the left side of my brain — it is the right side,” Badu explained during a listening session this week at New York City’s Chung King Studios. “‘Part I was the left side of my thoughts — it was more socially political and my thought process was more analytical. This time there wasn’t anything to be concerned with — the album is more emotional and flowy and talks about feelings. It reminds of the days of Baduizm — this is just about beats and rhymes in a cipher.”

Also, she threatened: “If anything leaks, I won’t put out this album,” she said about potential future leaks. “I worked too hard for that to happen. Let a bitch make some money some kind of way.”

Erykah Badu forgets about the Ankh

So, as always, Erykah Badu fans have been promised a bunch of release dates and none of them gave us the second installment of her New Amerykah series. Now New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) looks like it will never see a release date. And as if all the ganja in the world wasn’t enough for her to laze-off this album, she has now become a very intermitting, yet chatty Twitter user. Yes, she’s all kinds of crazy on there. Kind of like a cross between Courtney Love and Tila Tequila. Erykah badu had better release some new music now or her fans will just give up. Or, at least, don’t be dropping some release dates like “August 18th” when you know you are a slacker.

Erykah Badu resurfaces

As we all wait for New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh)  to get a release date, Erykah Badu is busy at work singing portraits of her for charity or something like that. The second installment of the trilogy had a february release originally, but not disappear from the radar and left us all wondering in true Badu style. She will only do an album if she runs out of pot money.
