1
Not only in Kylie Minogue releasing a limited edition of her album for the US tour, but she is also releasing a single EP for her song “Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love),” which should have been her 3rd single instead of “Better Than Today” followed by “Too Much.” This is the cover art for it and we can’t wait to hear it all the different clubs this summer.

Introducing… Nick Pes
1We have scoured the web to find a biography of Nick Pes, one of our latest muses, and all that could find is a small introductory paragraphy. What you need to know is that he is the latest Aussie export to usher in some more glamazon-electro beats that will definitely make you dance. Now, here’s that little synopsis: “Since the disbandment of ‘Leechwife’, the rock outfit he once wrote and performed with, Nick began experimenting with music he could make by himself. A couple years later and Nick’s exploration into electronic music has lead to the creation of a number of electronic slash pop slash dance slash genre-less tracks. He sounds a little bit like this, a little bit like that and a little bit like something you’ve never heard before. The Cinaesthesia EP was released in September 2010.”
Beth Ditto covers Boyz magazine!
4We need to give her EP listening. We are currently bombarded with the Agnes Obel, Clare Maguire and Lira releases.
Details, official cover art of Moby’s new album “Destroyed” revealed!
1Moby is set to unleash his 10th album on us this May. The majority of the recording was done while Moby was touring. He’d stay up in his hotel room because of his insomnia and work on music at times like at 2 in the morning. He said “it seemed as if everyone else in the world is sleeping.” Any music he did not finish he would take back with him to his apartment and finish it there with the range of quarky instruments he owned. His friends Emily Zuzik, Inyang Bassey, and Joy Malcom as well as Moby himself all sang on the record. Musically, Moby summed it up as “broken down melodic electronic music for empty cities at 2 am.” He says the title of the album makes sense when he listens to the music.

The Pretty Reckless cover Fiona Apple’s “Criminal”
2Oh, how we are in deep yearning of some new Fiona Apple songs.
Ke$ha performs “We R Who We R” live!
1Sexy Track: “Limit To Your Love” by James Blake
2James Blake’s first single from his debut album “Limit To Your Love” had him acclaimed as a pioneer of dub. However, this track showcases more than just that. This song is not only progressive in arrangement, but also oozes emotion-invoking minimalism. It sounds like a ballad from the future. It’s as if James Blake sat down and took heavy notes from Bjork’s “Hyperballad” and stripped its essentials back to the root of the feelings. This song is a lovely and unexpected tidbit of the future that closes off 2010 very nicely.

Will M.I.A.’s mixtape leak anytime soon?
It was supposed to be an EP of sorts and judging from her previous EP’s it’s nothing to look forward to, but it’s supposed to be out this upcoming week, but nothing has surfaced and no news from M.I.A. as of yet.
José González is coming to Kuwait!
3Jose Gonzalez, one of our favorite sombre folkies, is coming to Kuwait. REUSE 4.0 is clocking him in between his Australian and European tour with his new band Junip to stop over in Kuwait City for a one night only show at the environmentally conscious exhibition. His show will be of his solo material from both his albums, Veneer and In Our Nature, which are Loft965.com favorites. The show will take place in the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK).
Let’s hope we hear some new songs alongside classics like “Heartbeats,” “Crosses” and the impeccable cover of Kylie Minogue’s “Hand On Your Heart.” Click below for more information on how to buy the tickets for the January 11th show.

M.I.A. releases EP after success of “Paper Planes”

M.I.A. was just talking retirement when her single “Paper Planes” made it big because of some rap sample in the US and now she is back in the game. This time releasing an EP titled How Many Votes Fix Mix to remind people of an older hit (“Boyz” – this time remixed to feature heavy-weight Jay-Z) and introduce more material (“Far Far” and “Shells”). Right now, anything from M.I.A. is worthy of multiple spins. Talks of a third album are surfacing now.
