P!nk’s next greatest hit…

2

“This used to be a funhouse/ But now it’s filled with evil clowns/ It’s time to start the countdown/ I’m gonna burn it down.” It should be a single.  I think it should be #1 now. It’s a great song with vigor and a dance beat. 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Fun!

Gwenno’s promising future…

1

Leaving a band with relative success is risky business, especially when it is critically acclaimed.  This is exactly what Gwenno is doing. She split from the quirkfest that was the Pipettes to embark on a solo career in an increasingly dwindling music industry.

Kat DeLuna salvages a track…

2

She should leave 9 Lives and start concentrating on a good second album. Her record company pulled too many wrong turns. “Am I Dreaming” was shelved and the gaps between singles are too sparse. The song can be fun, though. I hope they remix the living daylights out of it.

Introducing… Microfilm

Not many acts can fuse two working genres and make it work. Microfilm’s sophomore album does just that. The duo have transgressed the chill-out of the likes of Zero 7 and given it a lush of electro.

The Slingshot Orchestra is a collection of pleasantly saturnine beats that borrow from a myriad of musical genres to fashion an elaborate set of songs. And as we near the next Ice Age because of the affects of global warming, it is not as unlikely to see snowfall as it used to be. It’s not like it will happen now, but it’s not far-fetched. According to wikipedia: “planar crystals (thin and flat) grow in air between 0 °C (32 °F) and −3 °C (27 °F),” which are not unfathomable numbers. So, we might see it.

Pop vending machines by sony…

Sony is releasing these vending machines that will have DVDs, CDs, USBs and pretty much everything that has been acronymized. This is set to hit the UK this winter and I wonder what kind of stuff they will stock. I feel like its all going to be like Snakes On Planes DVDs and Coldplay CDs. Anyway, its an exciting feature.
