We understand that Girls Aloud need to release a single that will cater to the season. Yes it’s Christmas but they don’t need to repeat the whole “I’ll Stand By You” era. This is not a strong song and the one before it wasn’t either. They need to concentrate on making fun up, dance songs and making lavish videos for them, a la The Saturdays. Continue reading →
When we heard of Girls Aloud’s return as a group, we were mucho excited. No that we had any high standard for the extra couple of tracks they will tack onto their second greatest hits collection, but at the prospect of having the ability to see them live for the first time. However, the two single launched to promote Ten didn’t really resonate with us.
However, there is one track by the name of “On The Metro” that is so infectious we can’t get enough of it. In fact, it riles us up so much that we don’t care about onlookers in nearby cars when we are blasting it in our car stereo.
No surprise, the track was penned by the lovely Nicola Roberts. Let’s hope their management is wise enough to release this track as a single – it can light a dance floor on fire! Continue reading →

Kimberley Walsh will release her debut solo album ?Centre Stage? on Decca Records. The Girls Aloud member, currently wowing millions on Strictly Come Dancing, will be releasing Centre Stage on February 4 2013.
Kimberley knew the direction her debut album was going to take as soon as legendary label Decca, home to Andrea Bocelli and Imelda May, approached her to make the album.
?I’ve always loved musical theatre and doing Shrek! The Musical definitely re-ignited the passion in me,? says Kimberley. ?I really wanted to share the love I have for musical theatre by taking some classic songs and completely reinventing them. The melodies in so many musical songs are so brilliant I knew we could create something special by experimenting with the production and I really feel like we’ve come up with some interesting takes on classic songs.?
Kimberley started recording the album this summer in Stockholm, working with pop producers including Per Magnusson and David Kreuger. One Day I?ll Fly Away from Moulin Rouge was the first song recorded: ?I was in my absolute element recording it and really felt like I was discovering new tones to my voice and really pushing myself vocally. I loved every minute of recording this album I really felt like I was going back to my roots.?
Currently celebrating ten years of Girls Aloud with the release of a greatest hits album and a forthcoming arena tour, she is also training hard for Strictly Come Dancing where she is one of the show?s most popular contestants and a favourite to go all the way.
?There?s a lot going on right now but I am loving every minute and can?t wait for people to hear these songs I?ve recorded.?
The third Girl Aloud to release an album, Nicola Roberts, has gotten her album Cinderella’s Eyes leaked! Not good for the British pop singer, but something tells us she has more tricks up her sleeve. Lo Click here to be forwarded to another blog to investigate the leak.
Nadine Coyle is our favorite Girl Aloud and in our head we’d like to think that this album is a marriage between Ray Of Light and Butterfly, but we have to be realistic. Still, we have very high hopes for her and we hope she beats Cheryl Cole out of the field. The album’s titled Insatiable. It’s dropping on November 8th of this year and the lead single will be the album title song. Click below for the tracklisting. Unlike Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle co-wrote every single track on the album.
