The best girl band we have right now, Girls Aloud, have confirmed via their publicist that they have plans to get back together in 2012. There is no word of an album yet, but they will definitely have a couple of tour dates. Let’s just wish and hope that Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding decide to make a couple of tracks for our audible pleasure.

Girls Aloud to reunite for 10th anniversary!
2The internet is rampant with news that Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kim Walsh are reuniting sometime this year for the full-fledged tour to celebrate 10 years together, allegedly. According to an unknown source the fivesome are readying up a tour for this autumn when all thier schedules work. Still, we believe Cheryl Cole has it out for Nadine Coyle, so we don’t know if this will be resolved. At any rate, a tour is lovely, but an album would be lovelier.

Girls Aloud to release “The Singles” box set!
1Single box sets are really of no interest to us as we are completists anyway. But, this Girls Aloud package is quiet impressive. Click below for the complete track listing.
Introducing… Florrie
2Florrie is a British singer, songwriter and drummer. Closely associated with the Xenomania production house, since joining as their in-house drummer in 2008 she has played live and on record for popular artists such as Girls Aloud and the Pet Shop Boys. In 2010, she began a solo career. She has drawn positive reaction from the online music community for releasing her own material in collaboration with remixers such as Fred Falke for download without charge. Several commentators have called Florrie a rising-star to watch
Nadine Coyle’s album “Insatiable” leaks!
1The time has come for us to judge the hell out of the other Girl Aloud, Nadine Coyle. Her debut album that has allegedly stopped the band from reuniting (although we think it is Cheryl Cole‘s ego) is out! Insatiable has leaked all over the internet. Click here to investigate the leak over at another blog.

Listen to Cheryl Cole’s second single “The Flood”
The first single from the poorly titled Messy Little Raindrops was a blast, but the second is a lackluster ballad by the name of “The Flood.” But, at least in the UK, anything this Girl Aloud touches will turn into gold for the time being. Nadine Coyle‘s “Insatiable” is much better, but, of well. Have a listen.
Nadine Coyle to launch solo album!
4News around the corner is that Nadine Coyle is allegely finally finished with her debut solo album and ready to either shop it around or fully launch it. This is exciting news as it is about time we hear something from the Girls Aloud damsel. We hope it’s better than Cheryl Cole‘s efforts and gets more attention. Why, you ask? She’s our favorite.
Cheryl Cole debuts new solo single “Fight For This love”
5Yes, she went first to steal that Girls Aloud solo buzz that all the girls are vying for. She’s been a busy girl: doing the Out Of Control Tour, looking over Simon Cowell’s shoulder for approval and doing this solo stint. This means one thing: she probably didn’t write most, if any of the songs, which is probably a good thing. So, the first single will have to be #1 in a “I Want Your Back” by Melanie B kind of way. And, you guessed it, it’s downright R&B. You know, because she is down with the clique and shit. Anyway, this is going to steal some of the stardust from the real star Nadine Coyle, which doesn’t make me happy. But, hey, I have the Irish charts to look forward to. Click below for the track.

Cheryl Cole goes solo, Nadine Coyle goes solo
When the news broke out that Cheryl Cole is going to do a solo album it was both exciting and worrying a little bit. By all means, Cheryl is not my favorite. I think she has the worst voice out of all of them and she is the only one that sounds like she doesn’t like the Girls Aloud genre. She is more into hip hop and R&B and it shows from her dancing to her song choices. Plus, the only thing we have seen from her solo sphere is that utterly abhorrent collaboration with Will.I.Am.
Song Of The Month: “Untouchable” by Girls Aloud
1At first listen of Girls Aloud Out Of Control album, the track doesn’t get ones attention. It just sits there between stronger tracks that sound more like video-worthy singles. Then as the pop grace of the other tracks wears off, this one rises. I can honestly say that “Untouchable” is not one on the best singles of the year but also a song that will go down in Girls Aloud’s history as the one that finally got them great critical acclaim outside of the pop-sphere.

4This is only one of the best singles of the year. The girls are turning everything they touch to gold. This is, as I am saying these days, premium!
Girls Aloud continue reign as pop princesses…
1
Girls Aloud barely held on to their top-10 singles (“sengles” according to Nadine) with “The Loving Kind” by landing on the #10 spot. It’s their 18th top-10 hit in the UK. Meanwhile, the Saturdays climb to #4 surprisingly. Anyway, the single was lackluster and they had many other choices. I think back in their head they thought that it’s be a sequel to “Call The Shots,” but it is far from it. I hope the next one is a wise choice.

The vocals are surprisingly good, but the dance is awkward.
