Cher works with Lady Gaga on new song!
1Lady Gaga does ad for Google Chrome
1Incidentally, it’s our favorite browser. But, for a while now not because Gaga said so.
“The Edge of Glory” hits iTunes today!
2Lady Gaga is set to release “The Edge of Glory” today at 1pm PT / 4pm ET, kicking off iTunes’ “Countdown to Born This Way” promotion leading up to the album’s May 23rd release.

1Oh Land’s “Sun Of A Gun” reaches 5 million views on YouTube!
1International newcomer Oh Land has gone viral. The video for her single “Sun Of A Gun” from her second self-titled album has reached 5 million views which is very impressive for an up and coming artist, who was virtually unknown outside of Scandinavia a couple of weeks ago. The song is catchy, but the video is also very cool. Click here to view the video.

2Loft965.com has its best day ever!
6
This Monday was the best day Loft965.com has seen, and keep in mind, we’ve seen some good days! On that day we managed to to get hits from Google, Facebook and Bing in the upper 5-digits on one post only, not including the thousands we get daily on the Loft. Put it all together and we managed to notch up the best day in the history of the blog. Also, we managed to get the 4th most read post that day on WordPress, beating posts by giants like CNN and Entertainment Weekly. Not only that, but December 2010 is also shaping up to be the best month for the blog.
We, ofcourse, are very thankful and are looking to expand the blog. We have removed all the ads as of now so we can have a fresh start in 2011. 2010 was a great year filled with accomplishments including reaching the 2 million mark, establishing a great foundation of loyal readers, the expansion of our little workforce and, most importantly, cementing our foot as one of the 100 most read music blogs in the world! Currently we are sitting pretty at #59 in the world, which is such an accomplishment because the other blogs on there are either corporation-funded or have been around for much more than Loft965.com.
We wish you a great 2011 and we can’s wait to see what the new year has to hold for us. We also have a couple of surprises coming your way – stay tuned. So, keep the suggestions, feedback, hits, press releases, invites, music downloads, events and praises coming! We are thankful for all.
Again: Music For July: Hodgepodger
3This one was hastily done, hence the name Hodgepodger. It has no concept and is merely a disorganized and topsy-turvy pile of gems. It’s all over the place, but it has some solid beats that can set your summer on the right course. The track list is unorganized intentionally to correlate with the theme of the compilation.
New York City in 3D now on Google Earth!
1This is one of the moments when you sit back and marvel at the glory of the internet and how it changed our lives (or maybe we are saying that because we haven’t had internet in 2 weeks now in the middle of the African jungle, who knows?).
Google Buzz is here!
“Google Buzz is a social integration and messaging tool by Google, designed to integrate into the company’s web-based email program, Gmail. Shared links and messages show up in the user’s inbox. Buzz focuses on integrating photos, videos, and links as part of the ‘conversations’ aspects of Gmail like conversation threading.
Buzz allows users to choose to share publicly with the world or privately to a small group of friends each time they post. Picasa, Flickr, Google Reader, YouTube, Blogger, and Twitter are currently integrated. The creation of Buzz was seen by industry analysts as an attempt by Google to compete with social networking websites like Facebook and microblogging services like Twitter. Buzz also includes several interface and interaction elements from other Google products (e.g. Google Reader) such as the ability to like a post.” – Wiki
Google commemorates Kuwait
2
Google.com.kw has changed its masthead to celebrate Kuwait’s Independence and Liberation days. The logo now shows the colors of with flag along with the Kuwait Towers replacing the letter l. Some bloggers are complaining that they corporation has got it wrong and it’s not on the dates. But, if you want to commemorate for an entire month, now is when you start. At any rate, it’s a nice consideration.

Google teams up with Monopoly
2Monopoly, the game that has turned friends into foes is teaming up with Google Maps to create a brand new experience that is bound to make the entire world your enemies. Yes, they are bringing monopoly to realtime streets. This way you can have a huge fight over Fahaheel. Yes, it has come that close to home. I don’t know how this is going to go about. But, I look forward to rattling some feathers.
Revolution in technology: Google Wave
So e-mailing, chatting, forums and blogging are now put all together on this one website. What’ll happen to twitter? facebook? wordpress? Will Google rule the world? Too many too much too far. The translator made me cry. It bridges the world.
