The queen of neosoul, Erykah Badu, is back in the studio laying some major beats with new collaborators. The Analog Girl In A Digital World is making waves with UK-based Gorillaz and producer Flying Lotus. Usually, Erykah Badu albums takes ages to be released, but we have a feeling this will be coming out sometime this year as Badu rarely announced her work-in-progress efforts. At any rate, it’s always good to hear.
Promoting Damon Albarn’s formerly side-project now full-time job is not an easy task. Especially after a long hiatus. The Gorillaz are releasing this trailer to promote their latest chart topping effort Plastic Beach.
This is just a little sneak peak of a snippet of what’s to come from former Blur frontman’s side project Gorillaz. The song didn’t pass with us, but we are not giving hope of other singles. The album Plastic Beach is coming on March 8th, 2010 and “Stylo,” which features Bobby Womack and Mos Def, is the first single from it.
They’re back. It’ll be interesting to see how they conduct the interview with the characters of the Gorillaz in the promotion of their album Plastic Beach.
It’s been a great years for reunions, from Take That’s success to Blur reuniting for 2009. I have always liked them and I am currently listening to “Parklife” non-stop. The band has a concert date for 2009 that sold out in 2 minutes! I hope an album comes with it.
