Some Hindu group is mad at Cheryl Cole for what they think is a portrayal of the goddess Kali in here new video for “Parachute.” We don’t recall that scene in that video. From what we remember, it was pretty kosher. Reports suggest the singer will be all-blue for the promo of Parachute – and Hindus are far from happy.
Religious scholar Rajan Zed has called for “clarification” from Cole, explaining, “The goddess Kali is highly revered in Hinduism and she’s meant to be worshipped in temples, and not to be duplicated in music videos for publicity stunts or thrown around loosely for dramatic effects.”
