This one totally slipped under the radar from one of our favorite artists. Gemma Hayes has been nominated in the Irish music awards for this video for “Home” from her album The Hollow Of The Morning.

3Must-Watch: Video: “Home” by La Toya Jackson
2La Toya Jackson is one of our favorite celebrities on earth. Why? Because she is talentless yet diva-ful. She tries and tries and tries and fails yet keeps on failing. She beats Jermaine Jackson when it comes to making money off of her brother, hence this single that was made for charity but also serves as a teaser for her album that has been shelved for ages Startin’ Over.
Video: “First Train Home” by Imogen Heap
1Still, as before: all her songs sound the same. Her heyday was with Frou Frou. This just seams redundant and the video looks late 90s’. Heard to songs from Ellipse. It sounds the same as its predecessor.
Again: Music for August: SlinkyPop
12To keep up with the festivities of the summer season we decided to dodge depth and melancholy in favor of sun beats and lush pop. yes, it’s another beach mix filled with pop marvels that are bound to make you dance and strut and do the nasty. Not one track on this compilation is slow, not even towards the end. SlinkyPop is exactly what the name refers to. It’s playful and poppy like the seed. 21 tracks of fun. We hope you like it as it has been playing non-stop at Loft965 headquarters (the chalet hammock).

Ladyhawke gets fruity
I don’t get why her music is an apple, if she is allergic.
Introducing… Erin McCarley
Love, Save The Empty is Erin McCarley’s debut album and it is a mixture of pompous folk and moody rock. It is like a cross between Sheryl Crow, KT Tunstall and Chantal Kreviazuk. My current favorites are “Blue Suitcase” and “Sticky Sweet.” I watched he perform live on David Letterman and she was great. I am looking forward to listening more.

Sheryl Crow gets festive…
This was so hush-hush. I didn’t see it coming. It’s only available in Hallmark stores. So much for trying to curb illegal downloads, Polydor. I am getting it soon, so I’ll tell you what’s up. Sheryl Crow is responsible for one of the best, if not the best, album of 2008. I gotta give this a spin or two.
