Must-Watch: Camille performs new song “Mars Is No Fun”

1

This song has a great vibe to it. It sounds like it could be the audio for the next generations of iPods. Camille is back to her solo performances and its sounds great, even though her work with Nouvelle Vague is just as good. Her new album Ilo Veyou is out now in France only, but should get an international release soon, perhaps with an English title.

Feist is back with video teaser!

2

Canadian alt-pop singer and Peaches’ best friend and roommate is back with a teaser video titled #1, so it wont be the last. But, she is back and this ain’t no “1, 2, 3, 4.” You won’t hear it in no iPod commercial. Ir sounds rockier and more big-band. Also, kudos to us for being the first blog to find this. You only get the best here at Loft965.com!

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Friday” by Rebecca Black

2

You are probably surprised as to why we said this is a “must-watch.” Well, as tacky as it is, this is the stuff that sells to tweens, and this demographic makes the charts. No, we would never listen to it on our iPod, but it’s so kitschy it has to get somewhere.

Again: Music For Summer: Splashine

8

Summer moved in. Time to splash and shine. This little compilation is a one-off album for the start of summer. It is a synopsis of a playlist we had laying around our iPod for ages that we usually play first thing in the morning when we start the party in South Bnaider Beach. It has a naked beat to it. It’s the kind of record that you can play and dance your feet of to at high volumes, but can also be great background Martini music at low volumes. The album starts off at sunrise  and ends at sunset. You see, it’s a concept sonical journey through one great summer’s day. We hope you like this burst of energy and sunshine. Enjoy Splashine!

iPod touch yourself in bed

1

Do you sometimes wanna get (iPod) touched at night? Or perhaps you like to (iPod) touch yourself every night? Well, then this is the premium bedding for you and your like. It’s single bedsheets made to look like an iPod Touch. We can’t decide if it’s for tech heads or gadget kids, maybe both. Of course, the Scandinavians had to come up with such a modern yet sweet concept, click here if you have some extra Kronas.

Exclusive: Music For October: Urbanette

8

urbanette

We hope we didn’t fill your iPod with too much gloom last month, but a little melancholy is always good. But, this time around we compiled the perfect antidote. It’s not too sugary sweet, yet not sulking sad. It’s sauve and soulful. Rich with melody and lyrical epiphany. We’d like to think of Urbanette as a determined woman of stature and beauty.

Yes, it’s a female-soul compilation. Apart from the opening track by Alphabeat (we put it on there because we couldn’t resist hiding it for another month), every track on there is straight up R&B and/or soul. Even the Alphabeat track has elements of gospel-tinted yelps as an homage to early 90s’ house. At any rate, this album is a showcase or voices, perseverance, class and drama, to say the least. We hope you enjoy.

Speakers as key-chains

thumb_4131_image1_Mighty_Mini_Speaker

These mini-speaker’s look like the bee’s knees for a hot second or two but then it got us thinking. How loud can they be if they are that tiny and are they more nifty or novelty? They have USB jacks for charging and an AUX input so you can plug it to your iPod or other device. They go for $25 and come in these two different styles. You can find them at this website. They’re still fun to have, no?
