Kate Nash talks about her new album My Best Friend Is You, which recently got a 2 star rating from Q magazine. But, Q is filled with music heterosnobs. So, it doesn’t matter.
Lena Horne has passed away at 92!

“Lena Horne, who was the first black performer to be signed to a long-term contract by a major Hollywood studio and who went on to achieve international fame as a singer, died on Sunday night at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital in New York. She was 92 and lived in Manhattan.
Her death was announced by her son-in-law, Kevin Buckley.
Ms. Horne might have become a major movie star, but she was born 50 years too early, and languished at MGM in the 1940s because of the color of her skin, although she was so light-skinned that, when she was a child, other black children had taunted her, accusing her of having a “white daddy.”

We knew it all along. But, finally! He just referred to himself as a “fortunate homosexual.” Yeah, fortunate after he came out too late and didn’t help the cause. No sympathy for this friend of Dorothy. Now that she got what she wanted in life, she wants to reap the benefits of the lifestyle. Why now? Introducing… Sabrina Washington
Aside from the hits, Alesha Dixon is not the only salvageable thing from Mis-Teeq. Enter Sabrina Washington, a former member of Mis-Teeq. She is the UK’s answer to LeToya Luckett. Well, she managed to land a record deal and is prepared to take over the world (maybe?) with her first single “OMG (Oh My God).” The single samples Snap!’s “Rhythm Is A Dancer” and has already gotten the video treatment which we featured a while ago. The single will be out March 22, 2010 and the album will drop a little later titled Dirty Pop.
